@UU_Ess_Pee The passenger railway needs to stop thinking and prioritising internal / operational functionality and start remembering that it is leisure customers who are driving demand and revenue - who aren't as savvy as the previous business dominated demographic.

The general public (and spotters) usually don’t understand like they think they do. We generally don’t know what the train we bring in is booked to do after we leave it. It could be due an attachment, or the crew for that service might not turn up for any number of reasons.

In my first race event since London Marathon last year, I was delighted to go around in 58 mins at the #Wolves10k But in 4 weeks today at this time, I will have hopefully completed the equivalent of 25, 10k’s 🥹🤣😳 without sleep! Unfortunately, this means that from Wednesday you should NEVER buy a walk-up ticket (Anytime, Off-Peak, Super Off-Peak) in advance. ALWAYS wait & buy on the day, as if you wake up on the day & find your plans have changed, event called off, whatever, you’ve lost all your money.
