Picky eating is often a cultural construct rather than a biological inevitability. In France, the approach to food education is structured as a formal curriculum known as l eveil au gout or the awakening of taste. The French system treats eating as a skill to be learned like mathematics or reading. A primary rule in French households is that children must taste everything, even if they do not eat a full portion. This leverages the mere exposure effect, a psychological phenomenon where people develop a preference for things merely because they are familiar with them. In contrast, the American model often relies on kid food, which is typically bland, beige, and processed. By sequestering children into a separate category of nutrition, parents inadvertently delay the development of complex palates. Data shows that it can take up to 15 exposures for a child to accept a new flavor. Picky eating thrives when parents stop at exposure number three. Cultivating taste is a matter of persistence over preference.

Today, we defined the parameters of our response to any potential violations of the ceasefire by the Russian army. We all understand who we are dealing with. Ukraine will adhere to the ceasefire and respond strictly in kind. The absence of Russian strikes in the air, on land, and at sea will mean no response from our side. The Ukrainian army is ready for any developments on the frontline. Ukraine has repeatedly proposed various ceasefire formats to Russia, and we believe that Easter should be a time of silence and safety. A ceasefire on Easter could also become the beginning of real movement toward peace – our side has made the corresponding proposal. I discussed with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine the procedures for Ukrainian units under a ceasefire. Information about the symmetrical nature of our actions and the possible extension of the ceasefire beyond Easter has also been communicated to the Russian side.

Our people are returning home. 175 servicemembers. Warriors of the Armed Forces, National Guard members, border guards. Privates, sergeants, and officers. And seven civilians. Our warriors defended Ukraine on different fronts – Mariupol, the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant, the Donetsk, Luhansk, Kharkiv, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, Kyiv, and Kursk directions. Some of them are wounded. Most have been in captivity since 2022. And finally – they are home. I thank every unit that replenishes our exchange fund and thereby brings the return of our people closer. Bringing everyone back from Russian captivity is a matter of principle for us. I thank everyone in the world who is helping us with this.
