I am a United States Navy veteran but fortunately I did not suffer from combat. My father, however, did. World War II tanker in Italy.

I am grateful to each of the 107 countries that stood with Ukraine today in defense of life at the @UN. The General Assembly adopted our resolution in support of a lasting peace, with clear calls for a full ceasefire and the return of our people. These are the right and necessary steps. And we will keep working actively to achieve peace, together with our partners.

@RyanHoliday I finished your book Right Thing Right Now. Reading it I did wonder if you had to comply with DEI. Reading the epilogue you addressed that. I think there is a middle road. Regardless, I appreciate your work. I am 78 years old. Obviously a different generation.

Mountains within walking distance. I was able to get out and enjoy fresh air. Not nearly as draconian. Two traffic lights. Very wide streets designed for horses and wagons.

I've just been in an intimate press conference with @ZelenskyyUa. Defiant and humourous, he said he "hadn't the right" to be depressed after the meeting with Trump. I asked about occupied territories and peace deal propositions. It will all be in Monday's 'Ukraine: The Latest'.

My brother lives in Rotterdam, so I have been spending my time learning Dutch. I started Cyrillic learning Russian, so I knew most of the Ukrainian alphabet. No Russian now.
