A lot of people are asking why more politicians are not like Ben Sasse. Because voters will not elect them, that’s why. They may say they care about character, but most don’t vote that way. Instead they vote party line, ideology, self-interest, or out of pique against a perceived enemy. How can we expect our leaders to embody higher levels of virtue if a majority of voters don’t make personal character a red line? It looks like we get the leaders we deserve.

Today I was in Washington, D.C., with President @realDonaldTrump. He invited church leaders from across the country to celebrate Easter with him at the White House. It was a privilege to be able to pray for our president and our country.

@drantbradley @DJJenkins Oddly, it seems FLOTUS has chosen AI advocacy as a pet project. Several times at the White House she has said that AI is what will enable kids to become song writers and story tellers. Usher an Age of Imagination. Such an odd perspective that we should rely on AI in this way.

America, we must not let this happen. The parents of wealthy children will not stand for this and will naturally block it, however, the “humanoid educator” will be tested for use on low-income rural and inner-city children. They must be protected!

Final thoughts for the weekend-next week: Rain is the name of the game through Saturday evening. Sunday is drier, but wet & cold weather returns next week. Snow levels will drop to elevations of 2000' by Tuesday AM, just wet snow/sleet in the early morning for the Valley. #ORwx

Cold air will also affect the Willamette Valley with the possibility of sleet in the mornings starting President's Day. Reason is a very then layer of warm air in the Foothills (1,200-FEET or so) right above the cold valley. NO MAJOR travel issues are expected right now, #ORwx

Dry & mild through Thursday with washout conditions expected to return Valentine's Day. Then a VERY cold air mass with several chances of rain moves in for next week. That cold air will drop snow levels to as low as 3000-FEET meaning the snow will really start adding up!

Most of those who go to protest tomorrow will not be in church on Sunday because tomorrow is their religious worship. They will sing their hymns, follow a liturgy, and worship together in a secular religion of self-importance.
