A lot of people were asking why Big Tech did not commit to full remote. Well, this is why. They don't need to backpedal.
It's always tempting to jump on the latest hype train that could help with recruitment, even if you don't really mean it. But it can hurt later, if you do it.

Just in: as part of the layoffs, Snap is shutting down Zenly, location-based social app with ~40M MAUs, growing fast. Zenly is (was?) very popular in Japan, SE-Asia, Eastern EU. Snap is not even spinning it off: it's just shutting it down, vey soon. Zenly employees are stunned.
