pg_textsearch v1.0 is now GA, on @TigerDatabase Cloud and open source. A full BM25 search engine -- tokenization, indexing, compression, and query execution -- built in C directly inside Postgres. No sidecar or separate system. Indexes live in Postgres pages, use the buffer cache, and participate in WAL, replication, and backups. Block-Max WAND for fast top-k, SIMD-accelerated posting lists, and parallel builds (138M docs in <18 min). On MS-MARCO: 2.4–6.5x faster than ParadeDB/Tantivy (2–4 terms), with 8.7x higher concurrent throughput. Full architecture and benchmarks: tsdb.co/5p5sh9i7

Holy sh*t, I bought a house (without a mortgage) from my free and open-source project! 🤯 And it's all thanks to you folks, everyone who is helping, believing, and using Coolify. 💜 I never thought this could be possible when I started Coolify as a side-project. The internet is wild! --- So why did I bought it? I always said that we are fine with the our flat. It is medium sized, we live happily, so why? Let's start at the beginning. It all started here with a tweet (that I could not find 😅). We had an interesting conversation a few months ago about whether I should spend money on myself or reinvest it in the business. Since I started my entrepreneur journey, I never took money out of the business. Just the minimal required amount for health insurance, etc. I reinvest. But someone told me in that post to spend money on myself, enjoy life more. First I thought okay, I am already enjoying it. I work on what I love & I help people. But I was thinking. Why not try it out? So 2 months ago (yes only 2) we started to look for a house nearby. We found a few but they were bad. Very bad. For the same price as we bought ours. Then, out of nowhere this house (see poc) just popped up. We checked it and holy moly, we instantly fell in love. (There was a small competition between a few buyers, but we won.) Owning a house always felt so distant because of the house prices and the fact that in my generation, it is rare for people to own a house. Everyone just rents. So in these two months, we bought the house, sold our flat, packed everything into boxes (a lot of boxes), and moved everything to the house. All this while summer break at school, so kids at home. 🫡 The house was 90% complete, they just needed to finish the kitchen and bathrooms. We could style them however we wanted. It was a nice challenge tbh. We are not good at this with my wife so it was rough, but we figured it out. Oh, and one "tiny" thing: when we bought the house, a HUGE construction project just started right in front of our flat for the next 2.5 years. 😭 (see pic) You can imagine how worried my wife and I were instantly. Who would want to buy our flat and listen to 2.5 years of noise? If we cannot sell it for a good price, how we pay for the house? Mortgage is not an option (it is a legal scam imo). I grew up with mortgages and loans and I see the pressure on my parents almost everyday because of these. So yeah, we had a few bad nights. 😅 But we were lucky, we got a good price for it. The value went up 4x, which is insane. We could still sell it for a higher price if we waited, but time was not on our side. 😅 The house is awesome. Our kids will have a separate room. Everything is solar powered, high tech (for me) and modern. Oh, and do you know what the best part is? I will have a small studio room, so expect more content! Let's gooo! 🎉 It is a new era of our life as a family. And it also opens up a lot of possibilities for Coolify and the business. I am more excited and motivated than ever, just need to survive the summer break. 😅 Let's ship cool stuffs!!😎 Fun fact, when you reading this: - In ~EU/Asia timezones: we are literally moving in with a mover company. - In ~US timezones: we're probably already moved in, and we have no idea where anything is. 😅

@mattpocockuk It depends... Do your want to limit the options? Declare the type. Otherwise, derive it.

When you're creating some config in TS, you've got two choices for how you write the type. Either DECLARE the type, then use it to type the value. Or DERIVE the type from the value. Which do you prefer?

@flaviocopes I’m actually using a form in a dialog. If the submit is successful I send a custom HTMX event, in the Astro script tags add an event listener on this custom event to close the modal. Real easy, real smooth 👌

So much stuff you get for free when using <dialog> for your modals: - esc key closes it - can blur the background items easily - first input field gets autofocus bonus points works great with htmx as we can put a showModal() method in the HTML response 💫
