@liamcsc What are you on about?! I recall seeing Andy Robertson celebrate with more enthusiasm after making a single tackle in a game you went on to lose 🤣🤣🤣

Say what you want about Scotland, but we will never celebrate finishing 3rd at a World Cup. Absolutely pathetic mentality.

@Keir_Starmer Country’s a mess, mate. I don’t celebrate earning 5p instead of 4p, losing 1lb if I’m 25 stone, or cleaning half my arse after a toilet break but leave the rest. That’s why you’ve gone. No ambition. A beaurocrat fiddling at the edges. And no understanding of the average Brit.

The test of any Prime Minister is: do you leave your country in a better place than you found it? I’m proud that the answer is yes.

@julianHjessop @DanielJHannan I am fully Thatcherite but water impossible to have competition in so it cannot be compared to the sectors in that chart and has been sucked dry and burdened with debt by PE and Hedge funds. Probably the only sector better nationalised.

Chart of the Day 🤓 Andy Burnham: "if we don’t have sufficient public control over the cost of the essentials, how can we have control over inflation?" Reality: prices have risen much more sharply in sectors with greater state intervention than in those led by market forces 👇

What a bizarre way for France’s brilliant World Cup to come to an end. What on earth happened? Anyways, I guess it’s England vs Spain on Sunday then 😉🤞🏽🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

@MikeyHotspurs I’d be tempted to give him to Frank at Coventry. For Archie, Lamps is a midfield legend and has a track record of growing young English talent. For Coventry, he’s class plus been in a relegation battle before 🤣

The best thing for Archie Gray is a loan move to a Premier League club that will give him game time He’s behind Tonali, Fernandes, Gallagher and Bentancur With only 1 game week he won’t be playing much for Spurs next season Let him go and get Premier League experience and come back a better player

@InvertTheWing What are you talking about? We’ve got as far and further under Southgate. In his first international job (at adult level). We have a unique generation of players. Let’s wait and see shall we.

Tuchel taking his first international job ever, and making a semi-finals just tells you how far ahead club managers are ahead of international ones. An average international manager does not win that Mexico game.

@alfiehaaland Weren’t saved by anyone, mate. We had the best player on the pitch by a mile, who scored two good goals. And played better defensively. That’s how you win football matches. Stop embarrassing your son and do one.

@SandyofSuffolk What do you mean ‘’whatever the motive’’? As if there is ever a motive to kill someone! If there is, we should bring back the death penalty so that the actual people who there are ‘’motives’’ for, are gone. The worst murderers and rapists, not peaceful people with diff beliefs.

Police have confirmed Ann Widdecombe was murdered and found covered in blood in her bathroom. A white man is being sought. Whatever the motive, it's shocking any man would do this to an elderly lady. 😢

Sitting at Houston airport reliving yesterday’s performance. I just can’t believe it. It was history. The Azteca. Every player on the pitch was a lion but Bellingham is something else. He is different. He is a great. An England great and I love him.

Mexico were by far the best team on the pitch across both halves. Dominated England in the second half especially after Quansah’s red card. Football is so ruthless and defeats are so hard to swallow but they are going out having made genuine history. Conceded only three goals, suffered only one defeat in the entire tournament and all from a single game, against England. One of the most dominant and cohesive sides in the group stage and Round of 32. Javier Aguirre coached a brilliantly organised, fearless team and deserves every single credit for that. They deserved more but that is football. Props to Mexico for a brilliant game. Props for everything they achieved in this World Cup. Props to every single Mexican player and fan out there. You did yourselves incredibly proud. 🇲🇽

@JJToonArmy Earning CL regularly, are you joking?!? We’ve been in CL 8 times in 16 years. We in CL ever other year. Villa/Newcastle been in it 2-3 times each in that period, plus both been in championship. We’ve had two bad seasons, get over it. And get over us.

All these little Spurs fans trying to rattle #NUFC and #AVFC fans is hilarious. You finished 17th back to back and paid up the £100m we wanted for Tonali and think it's a huge coup. Spurs would love to be in the position that us and Villa are in, earning CL regularly. Clowns -JJ

I can’t let this go unchallenged. That young man was, in my opinion and based on the video below, the clear victim of an assault. The video shows, for reasons that are entirely beyond my comprehension, the officer steaming directly into the victim. The officer made no effort to prevent the attack or apprehend the men who had just administered the violence. What I see in the video is the officer using speed and aggression at the moment of peak danger and confusion against the victim. The victim then controls himself the moment he realises it is now a police officer attacking him and not one of the multiple men who were attacking him a fraction of a second earlier. In my opinion Birmingham Police should drop the charges against this young man and ask the officer why she went for the victim on the ground and not the attackers!
Birmingham Police@BrumPolice

We are aware of footage showing the arrest of a man after a disorder on Broad Street at 1.30am on 21 June. Officers found a group of men fighting. As the incident was dealt with, an officer was punched. One man was arrested and charged with assaulting a police officer.

@MikeyHotspurs Completely unnecessary and bad biz to keep him. He’ll either play and if so, why buy the others? Or he won’t play, he’s a year older, one less year on contract + value goes down. An Argentina int doesn’t accept being sub at Spurs. Plus he’ll remain club captain. So will be chaos.

@LukeEdwardsTele Spurs fan: Newc knew this was coming but didn’t try for Anderson, a local lad, who only sold for finances. Surely with exit of Tonali + maybe Woltemade, could’ve paid the fee? Has the ambition gone? Would’ve lost Tonali + improved team at same time w\o seen as a selling club. Why

Having had a bit of time to reflect on the sale of Sandro Tonali you have to say he didn’t really justify the love and affection he received. Banned for 10 months shortly after joining for breaking gambling rules and the fans and club stood by him. Brilliant in his second season and a huge part of the team’s success last year. Looked an elite midfielder. Was mainly average in his third season and the noise about him leaving started in January. He doesn’t leave a hero, he’s moved to earn more money in London, not to play for one of the elite clubs. But he doesn’t leave with the same toxicity as Isak because he handled exit with some decency and respect. A good player but never a great one. A loss but not a hammer blow. And, if we’re honest, not entirely sure he was ever that thrilled about signing for Newcastle in the first place. He said as much ahead of CL game against AC Milan shortly after he arrived #nufc

@LukeEdwardsTele Interesting post. As a Spurs fan, happy with the deal. Think we’ll get 2 top seasons out of him while we have RDZ. Will probs leave when RDZ leaves. And we’ll get some money back but he’ll help rebuild the club and show we have ambition. Act as a magnet for others, I think.
