Announcing tetrix release 2.7 Your system package manager probably knows this as 'tetrix' A UNIX-hosted, curses-based clone of Tetris. Probably obsolete unless you can't use X for some reason, but of some historical interest. New in this release: Port fix for BSD systems. Minor release in response to a bug report. Za tym stoją bardzo konkretne potrzeby: wydłużanie życia satelitów, tankowanie na orbicie, manewrowanie infrastrukturą kosmiczną czy budowa bardziej elastycznej logistyki orbitalnej. Cieszy szczególnie, że coraz więcej technologii powstających w Polsce zaczyna pełnić w tych procesach realną rolę. Pierwsze demonstracje orbitalne, budowanie tzw. flight heritage i kolejne kontrakty to dokładnie ta ścieżka, którą musi przejść każda firma technologiczna w sektorze kosmicznym. Trzymam kciuki za dalszy rozwój Liftero. Każdy taki krok wzmacnia cały ekosystem kosmiczny w Polsce. A im więcej firm z naszego regionu buduje technologie, które trafiają na orbitę w transkontynentalnych zamówieniach komercyjnych, tym silniejsza jest pozycja Europy w globalnej gospodarce kosmicznej. 🚀Gratulacje Panowie!

Podsumowanie grudnia #SpaceXYZ. Aż 40 wystrzeleń w miesiącu i rok zamknięty z licznikiem 333 startów orbitalnych (+26% rdr). Chiny cisną, a do tego zaprezentowały właśnie dwa swoje Falcony. ZQ2 i DM12A na razie rozbiły swoje boostery podczas odzysku ale sukces jest kwestią czasu.

It's time for Microsoft to have another XPSP2 moment. No more AI, no more features. Just fixes. When I was working on Windows XP, Blaster hit. It was a big enough deal that we set aside all feature work. For the next several months, all we did was improve security. We didn't add "security features"; we fixed bugs. Lots of bugs. Until there weren't security bugs to fix anymore. Then we fixed the ones we didn't know about yet. Put more simply, we stopped trying to "add value" to the product through features that PMs thought users would like, and instead we focused on the things that had been important for a long time, but overlooked. Like performance and configurability today. Rather than trying to improve and add value to the system through new AI features -now-, I argue it's time for Microsoft to stabilize, improve, and make the system more performant. And more usable for power users. Just for one release. Just till it doesn't suck.

My son needs a dental operation. We have a private dentist (cannot get an NHS one) for regular visits and small procedures but they can’t do big operations. So we go with the public sector. I’ve just been on the phone and was told the waiting list is 1 to 2 years. Not months. Years. This is some Soviet BS. I need to find some way to get this done without depending on our failed state.
