Ett av målene med denne avgiften er å redusere generell plastbruk, samt å bl.a. forebygge plastforsøpling. Sikkert mange bra prosjekter som har fått noen kr til opprydningsaksjoner. Samtidig har fondet bygget opp en såkalt formålskapital på over 1,2 milliard ! Totalt (pr 2024) har de mottatt ca 3-3,5 milliarder på denne ordningen. Ideen med dette opplegget er sikkert god, og de har nok bidratt positivt i miljøet. Spørsmålet er om det hjelper nok, selv om det er store beløp vi snakker om. For egen del går jeg alltid ut av butikken med en litt rar følelse når jeg kikker ned i posen og ser all plasten som brukes til å emballere matvarene. Verre blir det når jeg kommer hjem og leser at 80-90 % av all plast i havet kommer fra land i Asia
