A second night of mayhem in Clapham. These are not angry young people making a political statement. They are thugs, pure and simple. There should be mass arrests.

What are the unmet needs here? What is this behaviour communicating? What restorative process will enable us to avoid scenes like this in the future?
Lee@MrLeeDaviid

When teachers like @Miss_Snuffy and @tombennett71 et al talk about the importance of rules, boundaries and consequences for poor behaviour choices, it's because they know where the lack of those things leads.

Donald Trump’s meltdown after marching his forces into the most glaringly obvious bear trap in the history of human conflict is the most undignified, embarrassing episode I’ve ever seen in politics.

“No, you don’t understand. Trump is taking Iranian oil away from Beijing! It’s 5D chess!” Brother, the Chinese secured Congolese cobalt 25 years ago. It was over before the yanks even worked out what was happening. Meanwhile, the British right still think EVs are bad.

✍️ New article: Battery costs have declined by 99% in the last three decades, making electrified transport a reality— Over 20 million electric cars were sold globally in 2025 — some for as little as $10,000. Even just two decades ago, that would have been impossible. The reason it's possible now? Batteries have gotten *much* cheaper. In 1991, lithium-ion battery cells cost around $9,200 per kilowatt-hour. By 2024, that had fallen to just $78 — a decline of more than 99%. You can see this in the chart. To put that in perspective: the battery cells in a standard electric car today cost around $5,000. In 1991, those same cells would have cost nearly $600,000. There was no single breakthrough behind this. Batteries follow a “learning curve”: as cumulative production grows, thousands of small improvements in chemistry, manufacturing, and supply chains drive prices down. Since 1998, every time global cumulative battery production doubled, the price dropped by roughly 19%. Early progress was driven by consumer electronics — phones and laptops — before the technology became viable for cars, buses, and larger energy storage. Energy density has also more than tripled since the 1990s, meaning batteries can now store far more energy for their volume. The half-a-million-dollar battery was never going to transform transport. The $5,000 battery is.

AFRICAN GIVES ADVICE ON HOW TO MEET AFRICAN WOMEN IN AN AFRICAN CLUB 🇸🇳 Was invited to go a club in a West African country (Dakar, Senegal) by African friend. Club was apparently nice club by local standards but to me it seem a little dilapidated; weathered-looking panelling and leather seating, faded porcelain tiling on the floor. Place was totally full of Africans, was only non-black person there. The club behaviour a little different from what you see in other countries too African friend buys a beer then goes to stand in corner fondling it. His eyes glazed over and the expression on his face became flat in that way you often see in Africans. He began surveying the room for prey (he didn’t seem like the only person doing this there were a few people around the edges of the club monitoring-loitering in a similar way). “Yeah there’s some nice girls here tonight” “How do you meet women in clubs here? Do you make eye contact and then go and talk to them if she sustains it?” “No no no, hahaha. Don’t be ridiculous this is very gay” He explained - the women dance in the middle of the club, they’re all there in the centre sort of twerking their butts. The way Africans here would dance to Afrobeats and Rap at least there was a lot of jolting, swaying body movements and then a lot of dry humping. To that, a man who sees a women he likes would need to go up behind one of these women and start grinding on them from behind. If the women dislikes you, thinks you have no swag, then she moves off and walks away. If she likes you, she lets you continue to grind on her. With that all clear all you need to do is keep it up and escalate from there. Important to remember it’s a very physical thing he insisted Asked him if it is normal to speak to woman at the beginning at all. He said it wasn’t. Asked him if the issue of consent was an issue here at all, going up to random women and just grinding on them from behind. He said it wasn’t and also that it was normal for this to happen so it wasn’t regarded as weird or harassment “Are you sure?” “Yes yes don’t worry” “Are you really sure? Because you could just be saying that” “Don’t worry” Told me I should try it, said I didn’t feel fully comfortable doing that. He said it was fine, loosen up you square it’s normal here - also they’ll like you more because you a whiteboi with motion. He took a swig of his drink and then strode over to a woman he had been staring at for a while and started grinding on her from behind. She didn’t move off

I didn’t want to say this too soon, and I still hope I’m wrong and I’ll gladly eat these words, but I think Donald Trump just pissed away a ten year legacy of the most remarkable political career in a hundred years, just to give Israel their war
