Pro tip for dealing with men: If you see one do something that you think is admirable don’t tell them “I’m proud of you.” Unless you are clearly their superior, it comes off weird. Instead, say “thank you for inspiring me” or “thank you for setting the standard.” It’ll go way further.

Huge congratulations to the Pod Save Guys, the Abundance Guys and all the Democratic pundits who suddenly discovered Mamdani and started saying nice things about him less than 36 hours ago as soon as the Polymarket odds shifted - this victory is all you guys, great work

.@MeidasTouch, why are the California Army National Guard commanders obeying Trump’s patently illegal orders? Illegal orders are not to be followed.

@AlexEdelman I loved Just for Us, and your interview with Marc Maron on #WTF. Thanks for being so unapologetically and authentically yourself. Let me take you to dinner the next time you’re in the Pacific Northwest?

I drew this last November 26th knowing full well no self-respecting family newspaper in the country would be likely to print it. I was right. But given the events of this weekend, I’m gonna to let ‘er rip anyway. #USA #Canada #tariffs @realDonaldTrump

My biggest OSX feature request: Make photos more accessible. Getting photos in and out of the Photos app is challenging. They aren't in the file system and the image format is weird. This tweet is brought to you by me trying to send a photo in Gmail.

This is such an underrated aspect of the SBA 7a loan 😱 Small business owners can used it for just about anything 👉🏼 Buy a building 👉🏼 Buy a business 👉🏼 Buyout your partner 👉🏼 Open a new location 👉🏼 Refinance debt 👉🏼 Start-up franchise 👉🏼 Permanent working capital The list goes on… While the eligible uses of proceeds is vast, the loan DOES have to fit into one of the many “boxes.” That’s why, when you call an SBA Lender, the first question they’re going to ask is, “what is this loan going to be used for?” Here are some bad 🙅🏻‍♂️ answers to that question: ❌ cash out ❌ pay back taxes ❌ short term operating capital My advice: Before you approach a lender, decise a well-thought out plan that outlines exactly what the loan will be used for, and how much money you need. If you’re interested in learning more about this topic, I have a video that breaks it all down: youtu.be/i7q-0CjfRWw?si…

I’m heading to Universal City for the annual ProVisors Group Leader Summit. While there, I’ll have some free time to socialize with SoCal friends. I fly home on Wednesday, so if you’re up for grabbing coffee or a meal while I’m in town, please reach out! @DarrenMarble? Getting to the airport three hours before my flight has its advantages, at least in Portland. I get to relax, and enjoy the gorgeous terminal prior to my trek over to the Southwest gates.

Many are wondering whether the Roberts majority will intervene in the election to “select” the next president, a la Bush v. Gore. As if they haven’t already intervened repeatedly and profoundly on behalf of Trump—shielding him from prosecution via delays and the completely unjustifiable immunity ruling, and by disabling the insurrection clause of the 14th Amendment. But, as I explain in today’s Weekend Reading post, as much as we worry that Trump will follow through on his pledge to be a “dictator on day one,” we have allowed Roberts’s “institutionalist” sheen to blind us to the fact that his majority has operated as an unaccountable dictator for nearly 7,000 days now.

Making money is the skill of: 1) Understanding the psychology of one person. 2) Creating a solution to a biological, personal, professional, or social problem. 3) Building, borrowing, or buying an audience comprised of mostly that person. 4) Iteration & persistence.
