How do people do market research these days?
I’m somewhat amateur and typically use chatGPT deep research to do its thing, and then I create a research doc that I use to generate a PRD.
AI generally just seems to confirm my previous thinking, while talking to people definitely exposes me to new ways of thinking/telling me my idea is shit

@harshexists Yeah, it’s wet/dry season more instead of summer/fall/winter/spring, right?
English

@harshexists From what I heat India is getting better slowly environmentally, or no?
People do manage, but it’s just such a pain to deal with winter conditions. I do appreciate the good winter days, I’ll take -20° and sunny over -1° and freezing rain
English

Yes our problem is upper bound because there is none, and here gov is not hard on environment, so lot of people do anything they think, like burning garbage or something (only few idiots out of 10,000) but ya, they are the reason for hotter summers aswell.
But having to migrate just to avoid cold must hard man. I never thought of needing to migrate just to avoid cold
English

@harshexists It’s so rough. I moved to the UK partially to avoid the winter haha
English

@harshexists We get up to 40° a few times in the summer, and -40° a few times in the winter
If you time things just right you’ll get great weather 😂
Is northern india a bit more temperate?
I don’t know if I could cope with the heat for ever!
English

@harshexists Haha, 10° in Canadian spring feels nice and warm

My plans for this year have changed a lot
Thought I’d be traveling Canada more, but things kinda went sideways, and I’m heading back to the UK today after ~7 weeks.
Will be heading up to Yorkshire for a month or so, then settling down in London for the foreseeable future.
My flight is today, will have some more quality time with my thoughts and decide what comes next for Social Thunk.

@DanielMiessler Genuinely I’m thinking of just going back to coding w/o agent for fun
English

I think what some are finding out is that coding was more than just coding for them.
It’s meditative, and quiet. And calming. And creative.
I think we need to break these all apart and figure out how to get them from other things as well.
I think it’s very possible.
ThePrimeagen@ThePrimeagen
I really just like to program Hands on keyboard, music, deeply thinking and enjoying the process
English

@theindiebuild I wish it was that easy haha
I need to get the ball rolling for a diagnosis.
Have had two therapists say it sounds like I have it, but they’re not able to actually diagnose.
English

@theindiebuild This is for the logger?
Damn, Canadian process sounds painful

I am in a state of limbo currently.
I planned to launch my app this week.
Realised Apple needs a business number to be able to allow subscriptions in my app.
Applied for one and got the number and ACCIDENTALLY closed the tab before I could record it. No way to get it now other than call the government.
And now I need to send a form with all the details to be able to retrieve the business number that was generated for me and this will take ATLEAST 3-4 weeks plus the app store approval time!
This is a bit of a bummer. Did all the planning and hard work for this just to get stalled by this roadblock.
But well can’t really do much about it and probably should try to make the most of this time. Maybe focus on marketing the app, improving, getting feedback, work on other projects in parallel?
That one stupid accidental click :(
English

@AndresBuilds Happy to connect
I’m working on a social media brand & positioning toolkit.
On a hiatus right now as I’ve gone back to full time work to extend runway
English

@rozzabuilds @romxdev I think part of starting a business is just getting smacked in the face over and over again by advice you already knew, but failed to prepare for.
English

@romxdev Everyone does warn you, but until you get there you’ve no idea.
English

@tejas_shekar @rafidhoda Yeah, ai probably dressing a div as a button incorrectly instead of using the correct semantic element
English

@rafidhoda 1. #valdef-cursor-pointer" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">drafts.csswg.org/css-ui-3/#vald…

Check out the above resources.
TLDR; accessibility defaults.
If buttons should have cursor pointer, then it should be implemented at the core and not require us to implement it as a custom CSS.
