@T2Rugby I would argue he is worse than England’s current top three fly halves and, by extension, is not among the best 8 players in the England 23.

As have pointed out before there is no other player in modern rugby history more overrated as a player than Ronan O'Gara. The gulf between perception and reality is enormous and unlike anyone else. This guy ludicrously has him as #8 on a list of best 6N players of last 25 years!

Great bloke, proper Lion. Many will think Dewi Lake is better, but George is the perfect man to help the lads prepare for the first test and step in where needed, as well as being reliable at line-out time. True leader, never a bad thing to introduce to a Lions squad.

The Top 14 is very wealthy and clearly the strongest domestic competition globally, but French international rugby suffers as a result. They don't care about July tours, so what? Well, it's 20-30% of the international calendar. That counts for cohesion building and experience. Blew the home World Cup in 2023, now they've got to do it on the road next. And the top players only play away games in the 6N, 2 or 3 per year. Will it be a surprise to see France fail in Australia in 2027? No, it won't.
