People with ADHD have what’s called an “interest-based nervous system.” They literally can’t force themselves to care about things that bore them. It’s not a choice. It’s not willpower. Their brains physically won’t produce the neurochemicals needed to engage unless something triggers interest, urgency, novelty, or challenge.

This afternoon the young man seen running from the vehicle received a call from the Israeli army telling him he could die alone or die with his family in the car. He ran from the vehicle into a field and was struck and killed by an Israeli drone. This is not the first time that the Israeli army has used this tactic. It is pure barbarism. Abject terrorism.

I took my 11 year old to her checkup this morning and the nurse asked me to step out of the room for a moment. I politely declined and she said, "It's just for a moment." And I told her, "No thank you, given all the stories about children being abused my husband and I decided to never leave our children alone with anyone, even medical providers. Anything you need to do or say you can do with me in the room." She looked all miffed and just left, no idea what her plan was but she didn't feel the need to continue it with me present and that makes me even more suspicious?? When she left my daughter thanked me for not leaving, she's already shy about the doctor, her eyes got so wide when the lady asked me to leave.

It’s true, every halfway intelligent right winger I know irl had a massive conflict with at least one elementary teacher over things like: reading ahead, reading too difficult books, not showing enough work, etc etc. it’s the first time we experience the uncaring tyranny of state bureaucracy and it sucks.

There is no metric, no category of barbarism, by which Hamas could be considered more terroristic than the IDF.
The atrocities committed by the IDF in JUST the month after Oct 7 dwarf those committed by Hamas in the entirety of its 40-year existence.

@sidewinderloops Europeans can't grasp the absolutely dreadfulness and despair Americans live in. Every place outside major cities looks like absolute dogshit and it genuinely makes you want to kill yourself.
It's why rural and suburban areas have such high drug deaths.
