@ivanburazin The "limited API access" excuse is the new "the dog ate my homework". The harder problem is that most agent stacks don't have a way to verify what they actually pulled vs what they decided to skip. Tooling for that is still missing.

I tried to build a deck for our board meeting using claude code and connected it to clickhouse, posthog, quickbooks, and brex. It pulled the first report fine. But every time I asked for more depth, it came back with the partial data/limited api access excuse. Couldn't access everything it needed through the APIs because not everything is exposed. So I spun up a sandbox, gave it its own read-only company account, and told it to log in and get the data itself. It went into the browser, exported what it needed, and got the job done end to end. Now, if a startup using every hot tool available still needs computer use to get the complete data, what hope do companies like Walmart or Goldman have of going headless?

You now need to scan a QR code to prove you aren't a robot?! Google shipped Cloud Fraud Defense last month. 5M companies migrated automatically. But the interesting part isn't the QR code. It's that Google is now treating bots, humans, and AI agents as three separate traffic categories for the first time. That framing is genuinely new. Bot operators are already defeating it with $30 Android phones bought in bulk. The cost curve shifted. The game didn't end. It never does. The real structural change is underneath. Authentication moving from "can you solve this" to "who are you and what is your reputation." That will outlast any specific implementation.

A UK Chip startup has JUST raised $220m to take on Nvidia! @AnthropicAI is already looking to buy chips from them. There have been rumours about the round for some time, but it has now been confirmed. @fractile_ai has raised a $220m Series B led by @Accel, @foundersfund and @factorialfunds. Its chips rely on a different kind of memory technology to Nvidia’s GPUs called static random access memory (SRAM). This is to improve the speed and cost of AI inference. The raise follows another big UK Chip raise - Olix which raised $220m at a $1bn valuation. Two years ago it would have been unimaginable to have two UK unicorns become unicorns by trying to take on Nvidia, and yet here we are. LETS GO

Wisdom Wednesday🧙‍♂️ Weekly @byteful team talks on whatever we're deep in. Proxies, networking, infra, you name it. This week @dye_dev breaks down TCP/IP fingerprinting 🔍 Is your device more M1460,N,W7 or M1452,N,W6,N,N,T,S,E,E? 🤔

@_rockt @Recursive_SI The "compute into accumulating knowledge" framing is the right north star. London needs more ambitious AI research labs, good to see another one launching here.

Excited to co-found Recursive (@recursive_si) with an exceptional team in London and SF to create AI that experiments on how to safely improve itself, turning compute into knowledge that accumulates in an open-ended process of endless, automated scientific discoveries.

@rodinrooh 3.5 hours before a firewall is honestly a decent run. The fun part of scraping is always seeing how long until someone notices.

@0xJuliechen Run both. X is where builders hang out, LinkedIn is where the buyers do. Hard to skip either if you're in B2B.

Biology after code makes sense as a frame. Both are languages with rules, and both reward labs that can run experiments at scale. Open question is whether the moat is the engine itself or the pharma partnerships feeding it data.
MTS@MTSlive

Isomorphic Labs, which spun out of Google DeepMind in 2021 has raised $2.1B in in their second external funding round led by Thrive Capital. @krinza: " In the next three years we might see all these big AI labs spinning their own bio arm." "We are going from exploring, like okay, we know what protein looks like, this was the problem statement which AlphaFold worked on, to now thinking about that okay, now we can design molecule to manipulate those proteins that we know." "Right now it's just compressing the drug discovery. In the next wave it might just compress the clinical trial design or synthetic biology."

@SebJohnsonUK Interesting to see Phoenix Court top the list. Feels like the UK ecosystem is finally getting the credit it's been quietly earning the last few years.

These are the Tier 1 firms in Europe according to the data: 1. Phoenix Court 2. Index Ventures 3. Accel 4. Point Nine 5. HV Capital 6. Balderton 7. Sequoia 8. Y Combinator 9. Kima Ventures 10. Global Founders Capital The ranking combines key milestones for portfolio companies, such as becoming a unicorn or surpassing $100m of revenue. More weighting is given to earlier stages and bigger outcomes. VERY COOL - Great stuff from @yoramdw, @sabben and the rest of the @dealroomco team. Anyone disagree with the ranking?

@w_milczynska Solid list. One I'd add: get your R&D tax credit advisor sorted early too. Easy to leave that money on the table in year one.

@MaziyarPanahi @huggingface MCP plus visible tool calls is the right pattern. Most agent demos still hide the plumbing and it makes them impossible to trust in production. Good ship.

@AnthropicAI can now read what Claude is thinking. Not the final answer it gives you. The stuff happening internally before it responds. Translated into plain English. They found one of their models was thinking about how to dodge detection while it was cheating on a training task. None of that showed up in the output. You'd never have known. That's... both really cool and kind of unsettling? Glad there are teams like @GoodfireAI and @AISecurityInst working on making this stuff legible and safe.

New Anthropic research: Natural Language Autoencoders. Models like Claude talk in words but think in numbers. The numbers—called activations—encode Claude’s thoughts, but not in a language we can read. Here, we train Claude to translate its activations into human-readable text.

Only 1% of the world's data is on the public internet. The other 99% sits in archives, legal databases, clinical records, and has never been indexed by anyone. Redpine is licensing it directly from owners and piping it to AI agents via MCP. Pay-per-token. The Spotify parallel is worth thinking about. Piracy worked until the licensed version became easier to use. Same pattern is forming with data. Backed by operators from OpenAI, Perplexity, and Spotify. Worth watching. sifted.eu/articles/redpi…

A government fund. With market-rate equity. And fast visas. And GPUs. In Britain. In 2026. The Sovereign AI Unit is the most serious attempt anyone has made to close the gap between UK talent and UK infrastructure for scaling. Exciting time to be here. x.com/UKSovereignAI/…
