@LNER @CruiseWildcat I understand the need for the refurbishment but I can't justify doing it in winter. I'm not wholly convinced that alternative accommodation couldn't be found.

@CruiseWildcat We are sorry for the inconvenience. We looked into alternative spaces within the station, but could not find anywhere suitable without impacting other services.

@lner just had email saying 1st class lounge at KX is closed when we travel next week. We have paid for a service that includes this. I understand the need to update, but why no alternative arrangements? Why no voucher to spend at other refreshment outlets?

@calummiller @LNER If we're talking about the KGX lounge I agree it needed a refurbishment, but doing it in winter seems rather thoughtless.

Standards continue to slip on the @LNER East Coast rail line. First Class lounge closed for weeks due to foreseeable maintenance and breakfast menu changed from meal to a snack. This isn’t what customers have paid for. #eastcoast

@DaveReidReading @HeathrowAirport @Ducati1200Mark Agree. (Some?) UK rail operators are already accepting 'incorrect' tickets from stranded passengers. LHR - please accept the seriousness of the situation. Its not 'a small number of flights affected.

@LNER 25 years? Really that long ago? A friend of mine was a passenger on the 225 - fortunately they survived. A prime example of why you shouldn't drive when tired.

This weekend, we marked 25 years since the Great Heck rail crash in a poignant memorial service at Selby Abbey. We paid tribute to those involved, alongside family and friends of those involved, first responders, representatives from emergency services, and industry colleagues.

@sdfpk Refillable metal or double walled containers must be emptied prior to security but these can be refilled once through the security area.

@jordandias @HeathrowAirport If you haven't worked it out - because its not clear - for LHR T4 - take HEX to T2/T3 (four trains per hour). Change & wait on platform 1 for the Elizabeth line service (four per hour) which goes to T4. I always reckon on 40 minutes from PAD to T4.

@HeathrowAirport @sahida2020 Could you remove your confusing posting dated 4th Jan regarding T4? Perhaps a 'pinned' message stating that the liquid levels have been altered?

Heathrow has now completed upgrading its security equipment. Liquids in containers up to 2 litres can remain in cabin bags and be taken through security in all terminals (T2, T3, T4 and T5). Passengers are advised to check the rules for the destination that they are travelling to, as liquids in containers over 100ml may not be taken on certain flights. heathrow.com/at-the-airport…
