You can now keep codex going for days. With GPT-5.5 it will build an entire OS kernel for you if you ask, or find critical bugs in a codebase, or optimize your database schemas, or… the options are endless.

/goal also lands in Codex CLI 0.128.0. Our take on the Ralph loop: keep a goal alive across turns. Don't stop until it's achieved. Built by my co-worker and OpenAI mentor Eric Traut, aka the Pyright guy. One of the GOATs I get to work with daily.

@Presidentlin imo it's still worse at tool calling. the models are just smarter overall though

Checklist of previous reasons to use Ant's models over OAI that are no longer true. ✅ OAI models suck at tool calling ✅ OAI models think for so long ✅ OAI models suck at vision ✅ OAI models don't handle long context well ❌ OAI models suck at frontend design ❌ OAI models have the personality of a rock Two options remain, personality will probably be the harder one to solve. Last time they made a personality model...

I realize yesterday’s Codex reset came in a bit at an unfortunate time given the last one was almost perfectly a week ago. To really celebrate the 3M I’ll reset again tomorrow. Thanks for the feedback!

Got a new laptop and I remembered how everyone posts "what should I install" Everyone mentions raycast, wispr flow, and more productivity slop No one ever mentions what you actually need to install like Google Chrome, Zoom, Slack, Docker, Brew, and Spotify

@thsottiaux why is the codex $20 plan better value than the $200 one?

Does anyone have a breakdown of how much value you get in your various AI subscriptions from different providers? When compared to API prices

gpt5.4 seems 10x smarter if you use it right after using opus, the delta is really quite insane

Always fun when you notice Codex being clever in a way you don't expect. In a session today, it was running a slow build process and got annoyed (don't we all). Before making a change it checked that progress was actually happening and did so not by checking the logs, but by checking CPU usage.

Fwiw, I think everyone is going to do this now. It’s a much better UI for the “new way of coding”. Cursor’s main UI has been in a rough state for like a year now. I really like that they are resetting. Overdue tbh. Also really like that they support ACP, might have T3 Code support in near future? 👀👀 (Composer 2 is really good, don’t sleep on Cursor) (Also insert obligatory *I’m an early investor with early access* bias accountability)

Cursor just dropped a T3 Code clone
am.will@LLMJunky

Nice. @cursor_ai just dropped their new "Glass" alpha, and they're leaning heavily into the simplified coding GUI trend that's been blowing up lately. First impressions are really positive. And just look at how insanely fast Composer 2 is. First impressions? Drop yours 👇
