I was a Rubio guy in 2016, at least once Jindal & Walker dropped out. I'd happily back him again, just as I'd happily back DeSantis again. But I think it more likely than not that Rubio sits 2028 out.

I agree, and that is why I wrote brief and loose. I don't think the right really ever sunk its teeth into the culture. It experienced more like a sugar high during an election year. But this worked out well because the right completely misunderstood what Americans wanted and went mask off, and now everyone is horrified by it and running away from it
