Been pretty invigorating building automation stuff along with agents with @photofinishgame … This week I in some spare time I built an AI “steward” agent that you basically can delegate one/many horses to - it just sits and runs constantly and finds the best race for every horse in the stable, and auto enters it if it thinks it has a > 20% (tunable) chance of winning. (That algorithm is an infinitely tunable math problem that the end user would be able to add weights to but for me I just fudged something quick based on grade / prefs / etc) But with great power comes great responsibility……… Good: - couple helps big stables delegate when it’s too much workload - helps new stables find the “best” races for their horses much more easily Bad: - Takes skill away - could devolve the game into a bunch of bots playing each other The ultimate vision of Photo Finish is a vibrant racing ecosystem with an even more vibrant wagering ecosystem around it. And more high quality races with larger fields is better for the wagerers. Let’s hear your thoughts, what do you like about it, what would you keep, what would you scratch?
