@IrvingSwisher @atrembath @Elan_Sykes @DoctorVive But these rely to a large extent on hydro electricity (plus nuclear in some cases). Hydro depends on the right geography which isn’t always available, or where densely populated, acceptable. Good examples but not easy to copy.

@Elan_Sykes @DoctorVive There are really good examples of deep decarbonization of power sectors aligning with prosperous societies. Iceland, Uruguay, Norway, Sweden, Finland, France Switzerland, Quebec, Ontario, Washington state and New Zealand are also quite impressively close

Count Binface asked on the Today programme what his appeal is in Clacton? "I'm not Nigel Farage," he says. Also repeats pledge to nationalise Adele.

@fluzzles @GBPolitcs That’s what the standards committee is investigating. If he hasn’t done anything wrong, why the delay tactics?

@GBPolitcs There's no evidence that he has done anything wrong. They're just shouting baseless accusations and hoping they stick. Instead of him having to prove he has done nothing wrong, shouldn't they prove that he has?

🚨NEW: The Labour Party Press Office on Nigel Farage's claim that media journalists are "harassing" his family: "Nigel Farage has a choice. If he could just prove once and for all he's done nothing wrong, he wouldn't have this media attention - perhaps he can't do that."

The Somerset Farmhouse of 1 North Street, Williton were approached by a "food influencer" that wanted to charge them £2,000 for a review. They put out a video of Sally eating a sausage roll instead 😆. Lets make Sally and the Somerset Farmhouse famous for free.

@GeoffWrigh3712 @TimesRadio @CalumAM Yes, but less than 20% of GB’s energy is provided as electricity. Gas provides almost a third of energy which is used for heating and industry as well as power. We still use oil products. The issue is energy, not just power.

A dozen British Army division commanders were KIA or DOW at the front in WW1. The notion that all the generals were fools, donkeys, etc, is Woke Marxist twaddle not taken seriously by any bona fide military historians -- but you do you.
Peter Hitchens@ClarkeMicah

.@20committee. Indeed, they trusted their generals, which was their mistake (, ‘But he did for them both with his plan of attack’) . The realisation that they had been led by fools only came later.

Every Wednesday the pavement outside my flat looks like this. It’s disgusting but also deeply frustrating because this is a problem humans solved decades ago. It’s beyond me why the local council hasn’t installed communal bins. @LBRUT @KatieMansfield @AlexanderEhmann
