Question for the veteran teachers: I've been teaching for just about 9 years now and something I see with most of my students is that they don't read instructions before they ask for help / clarification and they need to have EVERYTHING explained to them, even the most simple things I basically can't assume they'll figure anything out (even simple instructions) and have to hold their hands through just about everything Is this more prevalent now compared to, lets say 20 years ago, or has it always been this way?

What if nobody played travel ball until after Little League at 13? Less burnout? Fewer arm injuries? Or does it slow development? Not for everyone—but maybe it works for some. Thinking outside the box. What do you think? I think I know the answer for most.

@CoachSwit I’d love it. We only do travel as everyone else left.

@HusKerrs If one of you is a morning person and the other an evening person. Split the night at 2am. The morning person can handle getting up that early and managing the day. The night person can manage staying up that late.

@FixingEducation They tried this in the Carolina’s a decade ago. It lasted one year. It was an absolute train wreck.

Should schools in America run sports programs, or should local communities take them over like in parts of Europe? This wouldn’t eliminate sports, just shift them to club systems and free up school resources for academics. Would this be better for students?

@JamesTate121 If I didn’t have to pay any taxes, I’d be ok with that. But I do pay taxes so I will drive on those roads and attend those other tax payed funded institutions. You can have my social security, I don’t need it.

Do athletes know they could use their platform to advocate for something that, ummm, I don’t know, actually materially benefits the lives of others or brings awareness to real issues?

My hottest sports take is if you don't get 2 feet down on the field with the ball in your glove then it should be a HR. Ppl are gonna yell at me but this is no different than a WR jumping while in bounds and catching the ball out of bounds.

@IcyVert It’s a strike, if any portion of the ball catches any portion of the zone, it’s a strike.

Going forward something needs to be done about this. This absolutely should not be a strike.

Can someone explain to me why parents send their kids to out-of-state state schools when they live in states with perfectly fine state schools where they'd qualify for in-state tutition? Seems like HUGE waste of money.
