Every European language writes with Greek-derived Script and Alphabetic system. Latin = the Cumaean Greek alphabet. Cyrillic = a script created by Greek monks, Saints Cyril and Methodios, directly from the Greek alphabet. Europe’s writing systems are Greek in origin. The whole continent writes with the Alphabet born from Greeks.

Their ethnicity is extremely debated as very compelling evidence show that their mother had a slavic name and most likely she was of Bulgarian origin. The brothers invented an alphabet called Glagolica and their Bulgarian students St. Clement of Ohrid, St. Naum of Preslav, Angelar, Sava, and Gorazd with the help of the Bulgarian king at the time Boris I. Glagolitic script was created by St. Cyril and his students from Preslav adapted to form the Cyrillic alphabet today and named it after Cyril in his honour. The main students who created the Cyrillic alphabet were: - St. Clemend of Ohrid - St. Naum of Preslav - Constantine of Preslav - King Boris I of Bulgaria (not a student)
