@ryanflorence This documentary is about a father who forgives the guy who is responsible for the death of his children due to DUI. The father still keeps in touch with the guy in prison, wants him to get free and calls him a friend. Very moving. m.youtube.com/watch?v=gzc9VA…

A few years I went through one of the more difficult things in my life and I don't like the way I responded to it I was hurt by people I considered friends over something that wasn't true My hurt turned to hate and it kind of overcame me It changed my personality to somebody I've never been and don't want to be. Negative, flippant, and untrusting. Everybody became suspicious I eventually came across some teaching in my church about forgiving others, even when they aren't sorry. It was hard to do but I managed to let go of the hate. It's hilarious how much lighter your life becomes when you just forgive and let go of things However, I still don't think my personality has completely recovered. I'm still pretty untrusting and everybody in tech is still suspicious except like five people. It's my fault for not forgiving and moving on. Anyway, don't be like me: forgive people quickly so you don't widen a wound so much that it leaves a scar

@corbindreams yeah, the math behind neural networks is relatively old. I believe neural networks became popular after AlexNet won the ImageNet competition in 2012. So, once compute and large data sets were becoming more widely / cheaply available.

@tomhaerter content delivery network is when you receive memes via the postal office. It's used because pigeon carriers have proven to be too slow.

Visa is doing marketing consults (see pinned!)
I was going through my subscriptions (people who give me money on Twitter + have access to a subscriber-only feed) and I found someone who’s both subscribed to me and also blocked me, lol. I’d have assumed blocking also cancels subscriptions but apparently maybe not… 😂

no one’s gonna believe me but becoming a good speaker is really easy just record yourself for 10 minutes every day, first thing in the morning. don’t send it to anyone, just force yourself to watch it later. you’ll notice every possible flaw you can imagine.

Canva bought Serif – the company behind @Affinity Designer, Photo, and Publisher. Affinity V2 products are replaced by the new Affinity Studio, which encompasses all 3 in 1. Affinity Studio looks nice & is 100% free!

@joodalooped Btw, I basically I got the sveltekit with react example on the first try asking an LLM (plus changing some config stuff). So, I'd guess, solid would work similarly well. Or copy the react mount helper file and ask the LLM to rewrite to solid code.

@joodalooped I'd think so. I am not familiar with Solid but I'd guess they have similar commands to create a root host element and mount / svelte :bind it to a DOM element as well as sth like an explicit createElement function to initiate a solid component without JSX.

It's actually super easy to integrate React components into a SvelteKit project. This can be handy when you want to use a React library that doesn't exist in the Svelte ecosystem.
