Using these subtle patterns, machine‑learning models identified prior exposure with high accuracy. This matters: eyewitness memory is vital but vulnerable. Implicit markers like gaze could support fairer investigations. #LegalPsychology #WrongfulConvictions

People who saw a knife attack two days earlier showed distinct, consistent gaze patterns when later viewing the same office with no crime happening. Their eyes returned to key areas of the original event. #EyeTracking #VisualAttention

They never believed that Peter Obi would have millions of supporters behind his back. That was their biggest mistake. They imagined they could run him off the road, & isolate him from the masses. But it backfired, crooks missed their target. Now they’ve lost the masses, & they are desperate. Bigotry is the last kick of a dying horse. Nigerians are solidly behind Obi.

If over 6 million Nigerians, many of them young, educated, and politically aware, voted for someone you call “intellectually unconvincing,” maybe the issue isn’t with him. Maybe it’s with your definition of intelligence. Peter Obi didn’t need to buy votes or weaponize poverty. He inspired hope, spoke to real issues, and presented data, something that clearly rattled the old political order. He didn’t loot, he didn’t disappear to foreign hospitals, and he didn’t treat Nigerians like statistics. Call it a “mental heist” if you want, but what it really was… was a rejection of a failed system. People are done clapping for the same recycled mediocrity that’s left the country broke and broken. If Obi pulled off a “heist,” it was making truth, transparency, and accountability look cool again. And that’s exactly what scares the establishment.

How can someone this intellectually unconvincing get over 6 million people to vote for him? Peter Obi’s 2023 run might be the biggest mental heist ever committed by any human being in history.

@ibirogba2000 @PeterObi When his integrity is at stake, then he has to leave. If everyone in the party turned to stealing, which is against your conscience, would you choose to stay with them or leave and save your name?

I have come across a report circulating on social media regarding an APC gathering where my name was mentioned. Let me make it unequivocally clear: I do not engage in toxic politics, blackmail, or any form of political manipulation. My name should not be associated with such narratives. For the avoidance of doubt, both now and in the future, I am not a member of the APC, nor am I an intending member. My stance on politics has always been rooted in integrity, fairness, and issue-based engagement. I firmly believe that all political parties should assess aspirants solely on their competence, capacity, and compassion — qualities essential for building a better Anambra and a better Nigeria. As for Valentine Ozigbo, I maintain that he, like every other aspirant, should be evaluated based on these key leadership qualities in his new political party. Elections and primaries should not be reduced to toxic narratives or personal attacks. Political choices should be guided by credibility, vision, and the ability to deliver real change — not by dragging individuals into toxic discussions, blackmail, or needless controversy. Furthermore, primaries — whether conducted through voting, interviews, selection processes, or any other democratic method — must be free, fair, and credible. Every aspirant who is a legitimate member of a party deserves a fair chance to contest without bias or blackmail. As we approach the Anambra State governorship election in November, I sincerely hope that all parties, including mine, will ensure a transparent and democratic process, and engage in credible, fair primaries. This election presents a unique opportunity for Nigeria to embrace true democracy — something that, unfortunately, remains elusive in our nation today. I wish all political parties the very best in conducting free and fair primaries, and I call on all stakeholders to uphold justice throughout the process. We must reject toxic politics, for that is the only path to achieving the democratic nation we currently lack. By doing so, we will move closer to the new Nigeria we seek. A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO

It shows you don’t understand politics. 2: He was talking about internal politics of PDP governing states. 3: He was not talking about violence. 4: He will create crisis to distract those Govs. 5: Political parties create crisis against others. 6: Ibrahim Waziri of GNPP left NPP bcos Shagari and Akinloye created crisis against Azikiwe. 7: OBJ and co created crisis in ANPP that forced Buhari to form CPC. 8: OBJ created crisis in AD that led to AC, ACN. 9: Aminu Kano also suffered crisis. 10: So, every politician creates crisis in other parties to leverage winning. 11: We had crisis between Awolowo and Akintola originated from NPC in 60s. 12: Your Labour Party is in crisis, you think is normal. No, people dey behind advancing the crisis. 13: That is the content of Wike’s statement. 14: Zuma formed a party that led to ANC to lose majority. The country is not balanced till today. 15: Political crisis is an act of WINNING. 16: like I said in 2022, you could plant someone in another party as SPY. 17: Politics is not emotion but reality of winning. Politics is not 2 + 2 = 4. 18: Buy political books to increase your knowledge. 19: when Atiku left PDP to join APC, that was a political crisis against PDP. Same thing Wike was talking about.

@InibeheEffiong Excellent submission. The word "hangry" is a combination of "hungry" & "angry" and describes d irritable or toxic feeling that some people experience when they hv missed a meal. I'm afraid, but someone deprived of a basic necessity has no bizness 4 geographic space during protest

I attended an ‘interesting’ meeting called by the Inspector General of Police to discuss the #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria protests scheduled to commence on August 1. The meeting also had in attendance the Force PRO, Falana SAN, Adegboruwa SAN and some other civil society leaders and activists. The meeting was held virtually this afternoon and had about 16 attendees. The meeting was convened by the IGP in response to the letter by Mr Adegboruwa to the IGP on behalf of the Take It Back Movement (TIB). It became necessary to invite other groups and individuals for a broader discussion. When I was invited to speak, I asked the IGP specifically if he was aware of the trending video in circulation showing some thugs in Lagos threatening to unleash violence on protesters and warning people not to join the protest? I also asked him if he will direct the Lagos State Commissioner of Police to arrest the said thugs to serve as a deterrent to those who are planning to cause unrest. The IGP, sadly, did not address this particular question, despite that he was reminded of my question by other participants. The IGP also advised (or should I say took the position) that the protests should be confined to specific locations). This made me to ask the IGP directly if the police will disrupt any protest that is held outside the locations that have been communicated to him; given his advice that protesters should not embark on marches or rallies but should be restricted to identified venues. The IGP responded to me that there is no plan to disrupt rallies on the road or any protest held outside the ‘designated’ venues. However, he further indicated that the police cannot guarantee the security of protesters who are not confined to the locations that have been communicated to him or CPs in the various States. My final contribution was to remind the IGP to be mindful of the fact that there have been IGPs before him, and that he should be thinking about legacy and his place in history, and that if this protest is peaceful, history will remember him for his role, but that if anyone is killed by the police, it will also be recorded for him as his legacy. My deductions are: 1. The IGP assured that security will be provided to protesters who are gathered at the venues that have been communicated to the IGP and CPs. 2. The police has not taken threats made by government sponsored thugs against peaceful protesters seriously. 3. The police has accepted that there is nothing that can stop the protest from taking place. 4. The IGP said that the military will not be deployed during the protests, but that they may be invited if there’s violence that the police cannot control. 5. I am encouraging people to write to the CPs in the various States and notify them of the places they want to converge. 6. Rallies and marches should be done in a coordinated manner. History will vindicate the just.

@Spotlight_Abby 4) Having followed Obi for some time now, I have come to realise that he employs a peaceful, unconventional, and non-violent strategy to bring an end to bad governance plaguing the country for years. Perhaps, it could be the reason for the strategic disagreement between PO and KO
