Going hard on this client portal. Used @canopy_connect 's api to build out a "policy not in agency" sync. Customers can manage all policies via our portal. Also, I keep calling it a portal. Dont sue me @Bradleyflowers

Not every customer wants to share their insurance information the same way. The fast and easy option for most is to connect their insurance account. Some would rather snap a photo of their dec page. Others prefer to fill out a form. And some just want you to call them. Until now, our intake flows didn't give them that choice. Now they do. We just shipped a new choice screen in Link Flows that lets you control which options show up. Today we shipped EZLynx deep merging. When we send data to EZLynx, we now check for conflicts and auto-resolve them. If you already have a data field in EZLynx, you choose whether it stays or gets overwritten by new info. You’re in control of your data, with safe defaults. No more losing a birthdate or a driver's license number you already collected. We're listening. Keep the feedback coming.

It's a lot easier to scale when you get the foundation right. The agencies doing the most volume aren't debating whether to use AI. They're rushing to get the foundation right so they can equip their team and business with tools (including AI) to deliver the experience their customers want. Because they feel like they're falling short today.

Auto lenders lost $7.9 Billion last year 😵 due to a 98% increase in synthetic ID fraud attempts. Forbes writes that synthetic identity fraud is the fastest growing threat to businesses. A staggering *95%* of these fake IDs are slipping through the cracks and infiltrating financial institutions. Generative AI is being used to combine real and fake information. To combat it, businesses are checking data fields from sources of truth. Thousands of businesses verify an individual’s Property & Casualty insurance details using Canopy Connect because the data comes from the source of truth -- the individual’s own insurance provider. They check: 🚗 The VINs listed on the auto insurance policy ✅ Insurance policy status, effective / expiry dates, coverages, endorsements 🪪 Drivers license numbers and birth dates of insured drivers 🌐 Demographic data fields on the policyholder or insured drivers 💳 Payments made on the insurance policy; fraudsters don’t like to spend real $$! Are you in the business of selling cars? Paper documents and manually exchanging PDFs are now a liability. The FTC’s new 2023 Safeguards Rule requires all dealers to have technical and physical safeguards in place that protect customer information. Stacks of paper in the office and PDFs without access control are not going to fly anymore. Failure to comply means potentially facing significant fines from the FTC. So how do you get compliant? Move off paper documents. Use a secure system that encrypts customer data at rest and in transit, and provides data traceability and robust access controls. Ask your vendors for third-party audit reports. If you’re still manually exchanging PDFs and paper documents at your dealership, you know who to talk to.
