In short, you need to be selective when booking guests for your podcast. This should be done from the very first episode, and you should never compromise

Leadership isn’t a reward. It’s a responsibility. Great leaders choose service over status.

The hidden danger of leadership isn’t failure. It’s comfort. When leaders avoid difficult issues, they’re not protecting peace — they’re protecting themselves. Leadership isn’t a perk. It’s a responsibility. Choose courage over comfort. #leadership #organizationalhealth #patricklencioni

Effective executives differ widely in their personalities, strengths, weaknesses, values, and beliefs. All they have in common is that they get the right things done. s.hbr.org/2Y9BXTU

Great leaders simplify. They cut through the clutter and provide clarity. Complexity kills momentum. Clarity fuels it.

Struggling to get started? Here are 5 science-backed ways to beat procrastination—even on your worst days 👇 The 2-Minute Rule Don’t want to do the thing? Just do 2 minutes of it. Not 20. Not the whole task. Just 2 minutes. Often, that’s all it takes to break the inertia and build momentum. Temptation Bundling Pair something you love with something you avoid. Only listen to your favorite podcast while folding laundry. Or treat yourself to a fancy coffee while doing expense reports. Make the task feel like a reward. Visualize Future Regret Picture yourself tonight. Will you feel proud you finished—or stressed you didn’t start? Anticipating regret can push you into motion (without shame or guilt). Let your future self nudge you forward. Break Tasks Into Micro-Steps “Write the report” is overwhelming. “Open the doc.” “Write the first sentence.” “Outline 3 points.” Each small step creates momentum and a sense of control. Shrink the task. Then start. Use a Commitment Device When motivation fails, let pressure help. Text a friend: “I’ll send this to you by Friday.” Or make it fun: “If I don’t do it, I owe you 20 bucks.” Deadlines and accountability defeat procrastination. Recap: How to beat procrastination 2-Minute Rule Temptation Bundling Visualize Regret Micro-Tasks Commitment Devices Start small. Stack rewards. Add pressure if needed. Your future self will thank you. If you want a more in depth break down on how to avoid procrastination, check out this video youtu.be/HD2OHQBESn4?si…

Another great truth from Will Guidara. It applies to so much more than just the service industries. I'm applying it to life in general. If you haven't read the book, you should. Great reading. #unreasonablehospitality #othersfirst

JUST IN: President Biden reveals that he took the train over the Francis Scott Key Bridge "many times" during his commute even though the bridge didn't have train tracks. Very impressive! Biden, who appeared to be taking a train that didn't need tracks to operate, said he remembers all the times he commuted on the bridge. "At about 1:30, container ship struck the Francis Scott Key Bridge, which I've been over many, many times, commuting from the state of Delaware either on a train or by car." Video: @Brick_Suit

This may be the most overtly political/campaign-y State of the Union address I can recall. (Or is it just me?)

Had the opportunity to attend the #NRECA TechAdvantage expo this week. It was great to see this part of the energy industry; after 34 years in #PublicPower it is good to expand my circle and see a new #perspective.

This can be a real challenge. People generally want to surround themselves with others that share the same perspective. #comfortzone

Don't go backward just to repeat what has already been done. Make sure you are truly moving forward because something tangible is different. Someone being "sorry" (ourselves included) is not enough; just missing the good parts of what was is not reason enough to return; going back to temporarily assuage the pain is not enough. Life is meant to be forward-moving, not backward. So make sure that if you go back, you're not going back to the same thing.
