@HOFPosey @BaseballJeff1 Thought he might break a leg with that slide.

Tanzania (!) made a push last week at a food-safety conference for worldwide standard warning labels on alcohol, part of the WHO's plan to reduce alcohol consumption by 20% by 2030.
Mexico stepped up and said, "Hands off our Tequila, gringos locos."

Stop scapegoating moderate drinkers! 🛑
The data is crystal clear: any public health crisis surrounding alcohol is driven entirely by reckless overconsumption, not the occasional drink. It’s time to focus on the actual problem instead of punishing responsible behavior. 📊🍷

Ontario spending $20 Million a year to store US alcohol taxpayers already spent nearly $80 million on.
Here's an idea: Grow the fuck up, put it back on the shelves, and let Ontarians decide if they want to buy it or not.

Last week a federal judge questioned whether Ohio actually has a three-tier system for wine.
As the Supreme Court considers another wine-shipping case, we look at how cheap beer in the 1890s led to the convoluted three-tier system we have today.

A federal appeals court ruled this week that Ohio's ban on out-of-state retailers shipping wine is unconstitutional.
The opinion is provocative and strikes right at the idea of a three-tier system.
Next stop, the Supreme Court?

Read this carefully: it’s a call for research that confirms a bias, not the truth. Nothing this organization says can be trusted.

Do you have a research proposal that would contribute to the evidence on reducing alcohol harm in the UK?📉 Why not apply to our Small Grants Scheme? Eligibility: affiliated with a UK university, preferably an early career researcher. Apply: ias.org.uk/small-grants-s…
English

@USAlcoholPolicy Of course it should not since the absolute risk of cancer from moderate consumption is tiny.
English

@AkesoSobriety Actually, moderate wine consumption is associated with lower ALL CAUSE mortality according to numerous studies.
English

@AkesoSobriety I think you mean “Quit ABUSING” alcohol. Because that glass of Pinot with your grilled salmon is part of what makes life divine!
English

@Ayesha7w @rabataller @EASLedu @AEEHLiver @fscarfe All cause mortality is lower among those who drink moderate amounts of alcohol. Plus, you don’t cite the absolute risk of alcohol linked cancers…which is extremely small. All this tells us you are a propagandist, not someone providing truths.
English

@DreadyNaz Actually, the science shows that those who drink in moderation have lower all cause mortality than those that don’t drink at all.
English

@guyfelicella @fscarfe No one takes seriously these hysterical claims. Moreover, it’s suspicious that no room is made for the difference between responsible alcohol consumption and excessive consumption. Anyone comparing a glass of wine to meth should be ignored.
English

@Sober_lifestyl It causes no such thing any more than water causes drowning. Alcohol is dangerous when consumed excessively.
