Facts: When Stormont goes down the centre of political gravity goes from Belfast to London. It happened in 2017 and 2022. Won't be any different this time.

The justification of terrorism of the past & the eulogising of perpetrators is part of the problem. It emboldens those who justify it today. Sinn Fein need to stop riding two horses & say to the entire republican community - violence is always wrong - past, present & future.

My classmate, who is or at least was one of their Ógra heads in Louth and still campaigns for them, she said this yesterday in class;
*paraphrased*
"I feel as time goes on and we start welcoming in more and different types of people and the whole island gets more and more diverse, the whole northern thing won't really matter as much to anyone anymore because we'll all just be existing together on the island with lots of different types of people anyway so Irish identity won't mean the same as what it did back when the north became its own country...like, anyone can be Irish now anyway so we're like redefining the meaning and coming up with a new Irish identity anyway for the whole island."
I need not say my own thoughts, why followers know well already.

Discrimination against Catholic children was “baked into” a £20m scheme for tackling educational underachievement in Northern Ireland, the Court of Appeal heard today.

Europe dominates the list of richest countries.
The US ranks as 16th while the UK is not even in the top 20.
This is a new ranking which measures, not just GDP, but how wealth concretely translates into the daily life of the ordinary citizen.
GDP per capita is generally a terrible metric, as it assumes national output is evenly shared across the population.

Bobby Sands wouldn't have been in the IRA had the sectarian unionist state not murderously attacked defenceless catholic communities after years of sectarian discrimination.

Bombing Dunmurry was wrong this year and it was wrong when Bobby Sands bombed it in the past. There is a lack of real leadership within republicanism - who condemn violence today but celebrate those who engaged in exactly the same actions in the past. @GRobinsonDUP

The incident comes just weeks after an attempted car bomb attack on Lurgan Police Station. It’s thought the New IRA is behind the attack.
