Delhi EV Policy 2.0 - Key Highlights Holistic policy which incentivises every mode of transport: • 5-Year Sale Restriction: Buyers who avail government subsidies on EVs cannot sell or transfer the vehicle for 5 years. No Objection Certificates (NOCs) will be withheld for transfer or re-registration (including to other states). • Policy Status: • Draft EV Policy 2.0 released in April 2026. • Public suggestions accepted until May 10. • Over 700 responses received. • Revised final draft ready; expected to be presented for Cabinet approval on May 26, 2026. • Subsidy Application Process: • Must apply within 30 days of vehicle registration. • Subsidy credited directly to bank account via DBT within 60 days. • Eligibility: • Only Delhi residents purchasing government-approved EV models are eligible. • Non-approved models will not receive subsidies. • Proposed Subsidy Structure (First Year): • E-bikes: Up to ₹30,000 • Electric Autos: Up to ₹50,000 • Electric Four-Wheelers: Up to ₹1 lakh • Subsidies will reduce gradually in subsequent years. • Tax & Registration Benefits: • Full exemption on road tax and registration charges for EVs priced up to ₹30 lakh. • 50% concession on road tax/registration for strong hybrid vehicles. • Additional Incentives: • Scrappage incentive of ₹10,000 to ₹1 lakh for buyers scrapping old BS-4 vehicles and purchasing new EVs. This policy aims to promote long-term EV adoption in Delhi while preventing quick resale of subsidised vehicles. 350-450km in a full charge is more than enough for a primary car. 300km driven in 66% battery since last full charge ~ 450km range in CURVV.EV @Tataev

An EV that’s cheaper than its petrol sibling? 👀 The new Skoda Epiq has officially landed to take on the Renault 4! And at under £25k, it undercuts its combustion-engined counterpart buff.ly/KMvdpLd

@mallik2m @TorqueIndia Want to buy an EV, living in NCR, policy can f*** me up if I went with Petrol/Hybrid. Don’t trust Tata cars due to reliability and after sales, No MG, Maruti & Vinfast recent issues makes me wanna stay away from them, M&M don’t know about them, left with Creta electric.

I wouldn't care much if it was any other software issues or glitch. Brakes failing and them saying they'll repair under warranty is just crazy. @Maruti_Corp also say they can't disclose full technical details and can only disclose what went wrong after repair is completed. Me being an engineer can't live with the car without technically knowing what went wrong. :/ After 5 days of fighting for loaner car, they told they don't have one(They tried to give Dirty Baleno) and they have told they'll reimburse cab bills as actuals.
