Like the war or not…. Like Trump or not… here is a fact that more than justifies the following analytic arguments made once Trump went to war 1) the idea that Iran was “negotiating in good faith” is complete and utter nonsense 2) it supports what we heard from @DNIGabbard at the annual threat assessment testimony to Congress 3) it validates Steve Witcoff’s account of his interactions with Iran’s negotiators And therefore, with a range like that President Trump was more than justified to consider Iran a threat to be dealt with on behalf of our NATO “partners”. Sit with that. Think about it. And ask yourself why would Iran show this capability now. After everything that has happened? Wrong answers only please

Neither hit the base, but the message landed harder than any warhead could. Tehran has always publicly claimed its missile range tops out at 2,000 km. This strike attempt doubles that number overnight. @trackerdesert @WarMonitor3 Yeah I made it sound that unrealistic on purpose. To be fair some of the mountain missile bases require further strikes to degrade, so I suppose it’s possible that have a few they haven’t used? Not likely at all though and every day is making it less likely.

Despite Iran having longer range weapons than many thought I very much doubt they have the technical capacity or stockpile for any threat to Europe or other countries at a longer range and appear incredibly vulnerable to western air defence systems or own technical flight faults.

Best case scenario is they just converted their space program and fired them as deterrence, worst case is China or Russia provided them with thousands of missiles that they haven’t used yet. I know the first is much more likely, but it’s important to never underestimate your enemies.
