We need to stop lying about what Parkrun is, and isn't. It isn't an official competition. It never has been. Pretending it is a race is only going to upset people

@mara_yamauchi I don't care at all where people place in parkruns, regardless of what category they run in, because, as I have said repeatedly and you haven't engaged with in any way, they are not competitive events.

…of ridiculous situation that parkrun’s self-ID policy enables. Sex at birth categories (M/F/PNTS) would comply with the law, be fair for all & reflect reality (everyone is M or F). Why is it so very difficult for parkrun to do this? Because it requires saying no to men.

@ValMThatcher That's true for many activities. People might be happy doing it a few times, when they can. They're busy. They have responsibilities, commitments and other interests. Over 1 million people having completed 25 or more Parkruns successfully is an amazing statistic.
