With no political party agenda, this is how I see the Ice shooting situation in Minnesota.
I saw a woman who was acting recklessly with her vehicle. She may or may not have been trying to drive away but ultimately it was reckless.
I saw an Ice agent who had to make a decision within seconds because of her reckless actions. He maybe could have dove out of the way in retrospect. Either way, it’s very easy to judge instant decisions from afar.
If I did those same actions towards law enforcement, that is exactly the outcome I would expect to happen to me. Charging them with my car and expecting them to know they could have potentially jumped out of way after they do slow motion film review is crazy work.

The Minneapolis ICE shooting can now be 100% confirmed to be self defense from this new video. The deceased anti-ICE driver clearly HIT the ICE agent that opened fire with her car.
This is textbook self defense.
This won’t stop the left from trying to turn her into George Floyd as they work to tear the country apart. It’s critical that the Trump Admin rushes resources to Minneapolis to standby on the ready if these people attempt to riot. It’s also critical that we double our ICE presence to send a clear message that this behavior won’t stop their work.
In media there needs to be no uncertainty in how this is discussed. The woman tried to run over an ICE agent. Anyone defending that is saying that it’s okay for protestors to try to kill ICE agents. Period. The agent had no choice but to defend himself in this situation. Period.

This is so obviously self-defense.
1) Agent is directly in front of the car.
2) Driver does not comply.
3) Accelerates abruptly.
4) Agent responds accordingly.

This is preposterous.
First of all, she's not waving the officers through and has no right to do so even if she were. She is waving another car through, before the officers approach her car.
Second, the officers are not randomly searching her, they are approaching her vehicle because she is violating the law: namely, she is obstructing a lawful enforcement operation. You're not allowed to walk up to or drive up to people who are enforcing the law to make it harder for them to do their jobs.
Third, this defense attorney is drawing a meaningless distinction between an ICE officer and a "real police officer." Again, you're not allowed to interrupt a lawful enforcement operation, which is exactly what this woman was doing.
Fourth, the officer didn't discharge his weapon to prevent her from fleeing. When he discharged his weapon, she had pointed the vehicle at him and pressed the gas. He discharged his weapon in self defense, and other angles of the video show the woman *clearly* hit the officer with her car while accelerating.
The gaslighting is off the charts and I'm having none of it. This guy was doing his job. She tried to stop him from doing his job. When he approached her car, she tried to hit him.
A tragedy? Absolutely. But a tragedy that falls on this woman and all of the radicals who teach people that immigration is the one type of law that rioters are allowed to interfere with.

I'm a former defense attorney and currently a civil liberties attorney with no political dog in this fight. I watched the video at least 10 times from different angles and at different speeds and waited to offer an opinion, which I still reserve the right to change if additional information changes the calculus. It is very clear that the officers instigated the confrontation. The woman initially tried to wave them past her. ICE officers have no authority to search a US citizen or arrest her (unless there's probable cause to believe she's harboring undocumented individuals, not a contention here). A woman surrounded by masked, armed men who have no law enforcement authority over her has every right to try to escape. Video shows her steering wheel is turned to the right, clearly an attempt to leave WITHOUT hitting anyone and steer clear of the officer standing towards the front of her car. That officer had time to step to the side, which is where he was when he shot her. Even a real police officer would not have the right to shoot at her for trying to flee. This is well-established in the case law; deadly force may not be used simply to prevent someone from getting away. Given that the ICE officers had no law enforcement authority to begin with, AND the video footage shows she was trying to escape a perceived threat, not to kill anyone, the crime is all the more inexcusable. I'm praying for the victim's family, especially her children. I'm also praying for all the conservatives who are so unprincipled and lost they're excusing this terrible crime, and gloating over a death that will leave three young children motherless, because of the victim's politics.

@BillOReilly The shooting didn't stop the car and the officer was nowhere near endangered. The exact same drive pattern would have occurred had she not been shot. Clearly she was not targeting the officer.

Just watched the video of the ICE shooting in Minneapolis. It is clear that an agent was in front of a moving vehicle when he shot the driver. Therefore, the statements made by Mayor Frey and Governor Walz are inaccurate. All responsible leaders should be trying to calm the situation.

Today, ICE officers in Minneapolis were conducting targeted operations when rioters began blocking ICE officers and one of these violent rioters weaponized her vehicle, attempting to run over our law enforcement officers in an attempt to kill them—an act of domestic terrorism.
An ICE officer, fearing for his life, the lives of his fellow law enforcement and the safety of the public, fired defensive shots.
He used his training and saved his own life and that of his fellow officers.
The alleged perpetrator was hit and is deceased. The ICE officers who were hurt are expected to make full recoveries.
This is the direct consequence of constant attacks and demonization of our officers by sanctuary politicians who fuel and encourage rampant assaults on our law enforcement who are facing 1,300% increase in assaults against them and an 8,000% increase in death threats.
This is an evolving situation, and we will give the public more information as soon as it becomes available.

The ICE agent shot and killed the lady. No way this homicide was reasonable or justifiable. He was aimed, locked and loaded-then he stood right in front of her car and shot her the instant she hit the gas.
