@Doctor_Hutch the van had right of way going uphill, the cyclist (who had plenty of room tbh), went for a gap and hit the van, never stopped, never offered to pay for the damage/swapped insurance details, cyclists need to learn the highway code, not just certain bits

If you're a cyclist, the police and criminal justice system are simply not on your side. As a society the UK seems to have decided that this sort of thing is more or less all right.
