@trooper575_ @RealiaAmelia I'm saying that their role within the republic had always been peacekeeping and maintaining justice, so saying they became republic cops like it was a recent thing is wrong.

@trooper575_ @RealiaAmelia Also did you forget the first line we heard about the jedi where they were the guardians of peace and justice for the republic? it wasn't recent thing, the jedi have always been tied tot he republic since their formation.

@RealiaAmelia Uh yeah the Republic embraces slavery with open arms in the next one, the Empire does the same later on, the outer ring crime families obviously do as well. Slavery is status quo in Star Wars, it’s a load-bearing part of the galactic economy at every point in the timeline

a separate funny star wars cannon thing is that i find it extremely weird that the prequels take all that time setting up the clone troopers, who look like storm troopers, but then the storm troopers in the original/sequel trilogies arent clones. theyre just normal guys.

it’s a good bit that instead of just making a boba fett show, disney made a show about a new guy who is exactly like boba fett and gave him a show. then they also made a boba fett show. and that show crossed over with the show with the new guy. it’s just good brand strategy.

@FunkyTweeter2 @richard_normal They didn’t dispose of the clones themselves they just quit making more, they didn’t toss the clones out until they deteriorated. Idk if it’s explained why they immediately shut down clone production but my *guess* is conscription gives them more control over the population

Recent SW animated shows have all been neutered. IDK how you can make a show about DARTH MAUL, and not have anyone lose a limb in the entire show.

Imo there just aren’t enough shows made for preteens & teens anymore, almost everything is either for toddlers or adults. It’s like the industry decided that older kids like superheroes now & nothing else
