@cool_pressure1 @BannedVids Lol, do you idiots ask yourself why would a woman be carrying water hot enough to hurt someone on the road outside her house? Where did she get it? How hot can it be to be carried in a plastic bucket?

My stance remains the same on Vaibhav Sooryavanshi who looks like an absolute god until the ball moves half an inch or the pitch isn't a concrete highway. Bro is a certified home-track bully who won't survive five minutes outside Asian conditions. Put him on a green top in Perth or a swinging track at Lord's and he’s walking back to the pavilion before the powerplay ends. And please stop comparing this kid to legends like Tendulkar or Gayle. That is a total shame and a disgrace to cricket history. He needs to learn how to play a basic outswinger before anyone mentions him in the same breath as the greats.

@newslaundry @suhasinih Cultural difference is what this needs to be attributed to. Our brave jurnos though are valiantly trying to get the Viking mentality to us it’s just that we are too ganwar for it!

What if the west isn't the villain they told you it was? We’ve spent years accepting accusations about racism, intolerance, and slavery without challenging the bigger historical reality: The societies most condemned today are also the ones that led the world in ending slavery, expanding rights, and building the most tolerant nations on earth. That’s the conversation nobody wants to have.

In short: India is economically retarded. And this really isn't news. When it comes to people count they should've overtaken China long ago, but their culture forbids it. That is also why many intelligent and hard working Indians go abroad. In my industry this is incredibly visible in everyday work life. Indians outside India are often some of the friendliest and best people to work with. Indian teams in India though often feel like a den of hens with their heads chopped off. It's truly incredibly what a broken cultural environment can do to a civilization.
TESLARATI@Teslarati

Tesla has reportedly scrapped plans for a vehicle production factory in India. India’s Minister of Heavy Industries, K. N. Balagopa, stated that Tesla has decided against building a manufacturing plant in India. Tesla’s decision weighed several factors, including major shortcomings in the country’s local supply chain and industrial base, a stalemate in talks with the government over the sequencing of tariff cuts versus factory construction, insufficient infrastructure, the limited purchasing power of Indian consumers relative to Tesla’s premium vehicles, and broader uncertainties stemming from policy and regulatory risks in the Indian business environment.

Let them try. There's no group as vicious as Indians on the internet. From an old piece: Now there’s a more uncivil class in town, the children of the civil class and, as Dylan sang eight decades ago: Your sons and daughters are beyond your command. The uncivil class don’t have hang-ups like caring for Nehruvian secularism or buying into the mendacious ahimsa myth, and they are fiercely loyal to their religion, flag, and money. This pro-nationalist, pro-capitalist class is unabashed about raising hell on the internet, wreaking havoc on think-tankers and foreign correspondents, and making the Anglosphere commentariat wary about logging onto social media. The fact of the matter is that there are three reasons why Indians are such a pain in the arse for those of the Anglosphere. They are not the first ones with disdain against the whole rule-of-law white supremacy, democracy-based world order nonsense. There are scores of Russians, Eastern Europeans, Chinese, and Africans who hate the West, but they don’t really have access to the free internet or the English language to express their disdain. Indians, on the other hand, have no such qualms. We have three people to thank for that: Macaulay, Nehru, and Ambani. Let me explain.
Rishabh Mukherjee@rishabhm

You might not like the PM or his political party, but to appeal to people from other countries to "humiliate" the PM while he is on an official trip is just flat out asshole behaviour. Anyone who supports this is the same. He is the PM of India. He represents India. Asking foreigners to humiliate him is asking them to humiliate the office of the PM and in turn India. I am at a loss to describe how pathetic this kind of behaviour is.

“PM, Modi, why don’t you take some questions from the freest press in the world” truly a cringe moment for Indian democracy & the free press. If Modi is such a confident communicator than why is he the first PM in our history never to do an open presser?
Suhasini Haidar@suhasinih

After press statements in Oslo, Norwegian press object to the PMs not taking questions as they normally do. Norway PM Store returns to do interviews with Norwegian media.
