@michigeese Just got back from voting for her. Still expecting her to win but he’s got a massive ground game. My rural Trump +30 precinct had a one of his signs out front but nothing from her.

@maxtmcc Another $100M to the ballroom could fix this

@districtrabbit I’d probably do a lower Bucks plus northeast Philly district, give the Quakertown area to the Lehigh valley seat, and any remaining central Bucks population to the Montgomery seat

@districtrabbit The way you split it makes sense, but if a SEPA district gets broken up I think I’d probably go with the 1st before the 6th. IMO Bucks isn’t really a coherent community for redistricting beyond historic reasons. Plus it’s in population decline and Chester is growing.

After the 2030 Census, #Pennsylvania will lose a House seat. In this map, I've drawn 16 districts that will be roughly equal in population by the end of this decade. I'd really like some feedback. Have I respected PA's regions, or not? Feel free to ask me anything about the map.

@tschakey Great to see you back on here, Jacob! Also, that's a very cool banner photo you have (that old map of PA, which I've never seen before).

@adriaeln In college I had a professor with a blanket no-electronics policy in all of his classes, and they were by *far* the classes with the most student engagement and productivity for all four years. Electronics are just objectively harmful to learning!

I'm sorry but I remember us using these arguments in middle and high school to claim why we "needed" to keep phones and even then we knew they were definite stretches, why is anyone over 18 falling into this?
Taylor Lorenz@TaylorLorenz

@RaymondSultan People learn stuff on their phones all day!

I’ve proposed historic funding for mass transit for the past two years. The Pennsylvania House has passed my proposal four times to fund SEPTA, PRT, and transit agencies across the Commonwealth. The Senate hasn’t even taken it up for a vote. We can’t kick the can down the road any longer. We need to come together to get this done for the one million Pennsylvanians who rely on mass transit every day.

@nikicaga Yeah I lived in a rowhouse for a year and never heard any sounds from my neighbors. Tiny gaps like this just feel like a waste of space

@adriaeln I'm so baffled by slushies of all things being so politically salient over there that a majority approve of banning them for kids. Literally never heard of that opinion in my life before reading this tweet

It's insane that people who make tens of millions a year (even billions!) pay the same amount into Social Security as someone who makes $176,000. Our country could easily keep its promises and fund Social Security for generations if we unrigged the system and fixed this.
