@BraveSirRobin42 @____Foxtrot____ Who can confirm this came from a "lefty" source? More to the point, if it did come from a "lefty", why would they share it with anyone who had Reform sympathies, given that it plays directly into their hands?

@____Foxtrot____ They fucking hate us. They aren’t interested in convincing us, they want us to not vote. Or be unable to vote. Case in point (taken from a lefty FB friend) They feel entirely at ease posting visceral hatred like this publicly.

@hd_kamanyok As a nominally "white" British Citizen who has been a committed anti-racist since childhood, I respectfully dispute that characterisation - but I can see how you may have come away with that impression. We're trying to be better, I promise you.

When I lived in the UK, I realised 2 things about white brits: - they hate the poor (even poor people hate other poor people). - They'd rather be worse off than seeing black and brown folks in their cuntry Loool

@AyoCaesar @JakeWSimons Do you think a single person there considers themselves british over being Muslim? Or which ever asian country there fathers and mothers are from? Do you think a single one of them would pick up a rifle and defend this nation from an attack?

@Guy_online__ @sharpeleven @noplaceforsheep To be clear, it depresses the shit out of me. That said, Labour remains complicit only as long as it is beholden to the donor class (not least the UK arms industry), and I stick around in hope of helping sever those ties.

@turricaned @sharpeleven @noplaceforsheep You remain a member despite the Party supporting genocide, rape, torture, ethnic cleansing, white phosphorus, the end of jury trials, the arrests of peaceful protestors, the refusal to tax wealth. You must be very proud

Removing Starmer won’t make any difference. The Labour Party is so deeply infected with the politics of Mandelson and McSweeney that every part of it is infested.

@GolferRandom @MrKennethClarke For all his faults, Corbyn had the right idea - quit blaming immigrants, appreciate how decades of short-term policy let everyone down, and try to figure out how to move forward.

@MrKennethClarke Such a touch balance to strike though. Even if Corbyn hadn’t been around, Labour have a tricky job trying to appeal to their gammon wall while trying to win middle England. The gammons of Hartlepool etc want out of everything up to and including the UN.

Brexit is one of the biggest contributors to the cost of living crisis. Labour would do well to start talking about it by holding Farage and Reform to account. Silence on the issue isn’t working.

@Guy_online__ @sharpeleven @noplaceforsheep With all due respect, not true. I remain a member (often against my better judgment) and stopped helping out of despair post-2019. This election I supported my friends into the council because they are my friends, not for the party. We have to start somewhere.

@sparkjimialdous @TomLondon6 I don't think it's a commitment to any geopolitical aim so much as the UK arms industry which counts the state of Israel as a significant repeat customer.

@TomLondon6 I don't think you can view Starmer as a traditional party leader trying to increase the party popularity. He has no commitment to any social justice but is on a Zionist mission to fully support Israel in it's genocide and suppress any dissent, so mission accomplished.

QUESTION: Out of 10, how stupid was Starmer’s strategy to alienate most of the progressives in the country, particularly the young and all those that are decent & humane enough to be appalled at the GENOCIDE in Gaza? My ANSWER: 10 out of 10

@LiamSota @sofiaa02xx Asylum seekers cannot legally work in the UK, so by definition they have zero effect on wages. Since the end of WW2 and the the Empire it was always the bosses of the British firms inviting people from the Commonwealth to work here, so why blame the immigrants and not the bosses?

@blixberrie I did (for my sins and in many ways against my better judgment) - mainly because this was a local election and I was supporting friends that I know and trust in spite of the PLP. With Mandelson exposed and his protégés tainted, we might just turn things around.

Here's the DIRTY SECRET of the British Establishment. They are OK with the idea of a racist, authoritarian Farage govt. They are TERRIFIED at the idea of a Polanski govt which would threaten their power & privilege and make them pay their fair share of tax.

@suekenmax @WiltsAnnabelle @REFORM Umm... Between 2011 and 2020, UK asylum applications from Afghans totalled between 1,300 and 1,600 a year. A long way from "millions". Between 2021-23 there were 77 SA convictions against Afghan nationals - not great, but far from "thousands".

It took me a number of years to realise what a dangerous man Nigel Farage was and how totally unfit he is for public office - and I worked for him. So I have always felt that there will be plenty of others who fall for his particular brand of bullshit and who themselves will also need time.

Hard to think of a parallel for Nigel Farage’s electoral achievements in British political history. Against seemingly overwhelming odds, he built three serious parties from nothing. Without him, Britain would never have recovered its sovereignty from Brussels. Today he tore through Labour and Tory heartlands with Reform. Sunderland, Hartlepool, and Newcastle-under-Lyme all broke decisively for him. He’s ended decades of Tory rule in Essex and Suffolk. Reform has won its first council in London and is now the alternative party of government in Scotland and Wales. No Prime Minister has ever achieved this.

Why is it an awful day… when you ignore the majority and pander to the minority, this is what happens. This is BRITAIN! It’s not Pakistan, Israel, India, Bangladesh or Nigeria and British native people as well as many of us migrants- turned British citizens are probably sick to death of being silenced or shoved to the back while identity politics or non citizens take centre stage. Yes be from any culture or race, but to live here should not include specific demands over the host majority…. Integrate, work hard and leave external gripes and demands at the door.
Zara Hussain@zarahussain999

The polls have closed I’m angry, upset, disappointed and feel sick by the predictions that Reform will win multiple councils This is an awful day for British politics

Dear Reform-voting ladies… Do you know you’re voting for a party that wants to: ❌ Scrap the Equality Act - your legal protection against workplace discrimination & unequal pay ❌ Kill the Online Safety Act - the law protecting you from revenge porn ❌ Vote AGAINST the bill to stop workplace sexual harassment ❌ Stack the party with anti-abortion politicians - some opposing termination even in cases of rape ❌ Push “pro-family” policies that put women back in the home I guess the question is… Do you hate immigrants more than you love your rights?

The line that Labour is taking about Reform - that it is a party intent on spreading hate and division in our society - is decidedly risky. Millions of Red Wall voters - many of them once loyal to Labour - have just voted for that party. They will hear Labour's message and think: "They are calling me a racist bigot. Just like they did when I voted for Brexit."

@JosephLivi36351 @PaulEmbery Asylum seekers escaping the conflicts in Syria, Afghanistan and Iraq (conflicts which the UK arms industry was supplying) have been settled across the country as a whole. This was happening well before the current government.
