MGR & Kalaignar never needed an image transformation, who they were before politics was exactly who they were after. They were either real or carefully crafted their image from a very early stage. But, Jayalalithaa and @mkstalin both underwent massive shifts. Stalin evolved from his first Mayor term into an able, pro-development administrator. Jayalalithaa pivoted beautifully in 2001 to become the ultimate household name, "Amma." Now, I’m curious to see if we will see a similar image transformation with @TVKVijayHQ. Usually, a true transformation requires completely changing your ecosystem, so I’m genuinely curious.

I’m hearing that @TVKVijayHQ government might opt for an open tendering system. Honestly, it is a welcome change, but it’s going to face some massive challenges. Here is the fundamental difference between now and the past: when MGR first became Chief Minister, and even when Jayalalithaa first took power, the vast majority of the bureaucracy was actually clean. Today, it is the exact opposite. Because the system is so compromised, an open tender process introduces serious risks. We'll likely see companies from all over India underquoting just to win bids, officials finding new ways to rig the system, and the bureaucracy celebrating these loopholes. The end result could be more red tape and delayed projects ultimately benefiting the bureaucrats. That said, these kinds of teething issues are true for any new system. It’s going to be really interesting to see how this one actually evolves, if and when implemented.

Whenever the Government led by @TVKVijayHQ releases a white paper, I’d love to see @ptrmadurai and @TRBRaaaja provide a comprehensive assessment and a detailed rejoinder in the media. As a party with deep experience and substance, the @arivalayam must counter this effectively. While it’s standard practice for a Government to file a white paper at the start, that shouldn't become an excuse for failing to deliver on the very promises that got them voted into power. A government cannot start and run on posturing, it needs to perform.
