@SacKings2618 @MattGeorgeSAC I pretty much agree. But Nique is nice. And for as much as Kings fans LOVED Keon, Plowden is very similar. I was mostly referring to Max and Nique. We have 21 wins. 5th worst is a great chance at a top 3. Just about the same as everyone else.

@tyboogy @MattGeorgeSAC We really don’t have nice young players though that’s the issue. Max might be a starter level player in the league. The other guys certainly aren’t. I’d argue we have less young talent than any team in the league. Which is why we need a top-3 pick.

@SacKings2618 @MattGeorgeSAC That was my point. Pacers played their star. And they still lost. So playing Precious and Demar while all of our other established guys are sitting out isn’t a big deal. We’re sitting most of our guys. We just have some nice young players that are playing well. Not mad at that.

The outcomes of these march games literally has no relevance to what the Kings will do next year. The history of the league shows these March games are fools gold. Ask Skal Labissiere.

@The_StilesFiles We’re almost guaranteed locked in to bottom 5 odds. Play the lotto. See what happens. Odds are not that much worse than the bottom 3 teams. Deep draft. There will be players available that can really help us even if we land 5-7 range. But I say we get lucky and still go top 3.

@JonnyRoot_ He didnt get fired. He was released. A week before the season ends. He’s not losing any pay. His money is fully guaranteed. If he was SUSPENDED- that would be without pay. He was going to be a free agent and Bulls had no plan on bringing him back. So they let him go home early.

If you’re a sports media member & you say Jaden Ivey is mentally ill, shame on you. Jaden Ivey was fired for simply holding to historical, foundational, Biblical Christian beliefs. @MattGeorgeSAC I’ve heard some interesting Acuff comparisons. I have one- how bout Dame? Dame is 6’2. Never been known as a defender. Shoots the lights out. Skilled. Not overly athletic. They both seem to be cut from the same cloth too. Pure hoopers. Born to hoop.

@CarmichaelDave I agree Acuff’s defense doesn’t look amazing. As long as he buys into a team philosophy I’m not too worried. Boozer worries me much more as a foundational defensive flaw. Like a team with Sabonis as your 5. Hard to be great defensively. We need length and defense up front.

With the caveat that even experts are doing educated guesses, Boozer seems like the “highest floor” safe pick. But I don’t think he has the highest ceiling. For me, fit is irrelevant. Whomever the scouts think has the highest CEILING, swing away Merrill

As someone who is all for the Kings going for upside in this draft, just a reminder that "highest ceiling" or "potential" is a rating based on opinion. If you want the Kings to take the "best player avaliable", it's Cam Boozer. Point is, there's no exact science. That's what makes it fun.

@CarmichaelDave @ScottyD916 #1 is AJ without a doubt. #2 I’d pick between Acuff and Wilson. I’m struggling with adding Boozer to Keegan and Max. Wilson would pair perfectly with Max. And Acuff is just an absolutely gifted offensive PG to build around.

@BlakeKrek @MattGeorgeSAC The comparisons to Trae Young need to stop immediately. I’ve actually been a pretty big fan of Trae. Since Oklahoma. But they are vastly different as players. Way too easy for people to pull these comparisons and it’s just not that simple.

Darius Acuff Jr is closer to Tyrese Maxey than Trae Young IMO. But the point still stands. I reached out thinking that there would be hesitation from the Kings based on these same situations.

My slight confusion with the Darius Acuff Jr. interest is how the Kings didn't seem in on similar players (Trae Young, Ja Morant, etc.), but I think we all need more info before we assume the Kings have him higher than any of the other mock drafts we've seen.

@JackBDann @AngryKingsFan I haven’t seen 5 guys ahead of Acuff. I’ve got AJ and Acuff as top 2. You can put Wilson or Boozer right there with him but it’s a matter of positional preference. I believe Acuff will be an all star all NBA type guy. He’s incredibly skilled offensively. Top 5 easily justified.
