According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a 300-for-300 prisoner swap took place between the transitional government and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in Al-Hasakah city. The swap is part of a wider deal, inked in January of this year, between the two factions that will see the SDF increasingly incorporated into the wider transitional government framework.

The "strong passport" being measured by how many countries you can visit is dumb. A passport is not the most valuable because it grants you visa-free travel to Brunei or whatever if you can't have dual citizenship or have to pay taxes globally.

One of the most unserious redistricting arguments from the left is pretending New England isn’t gerrymandered. MA, CT, RI, and NH all have heavily Dem-skewed maps (Maine’s is admittedly quite fair). Rhode Island is especially underdiscussed—Democrats split Providence, the state’s largest city, between both districts to keep them safely blue. A fair map would keep Providence intact, which would inevitably make RI-02 competitive. The current maps are perfectly legal and politically smart. Just don’t pretend they aren’t gerrymandered.
