Today, members of the Young Republican National Federation will choose between two warring factions to lead the organization, and the battle has descended into a bitter brawl including legal threats and alleged smear campaigns.

My wife is really pissed of at your change in programming and all her recordings based on the cable guide @MediacomCable are the wrong shows. I had to hear about it so...

This, for lack of a better word, sucks.
Shep and @thenewsoncnbc was the best kind of cable news -- actual news! No panels. No idiots talking over one another.
Extraordinarily well-produced and delivered.
Watched it at my desk every night.

Late night #HPC philosophy:
Imagine you replace (upgrade) all the CPUs in a #supercomputer - is it still the same supercomputer?
What about the #memory chips?
Or all the persistent #storage?
Cables? Racks?
What if you replace all the #software but don’t touch the #hardware?
A little announce: I’m now Deputy Editor in Chief for all Situation Publishing brands (The Register, The Next Platform, Blocks & Files, DevClass + more coming). I’ll still write for TNP. Busy (but awesome) times ahead.

Speed cameras meh, rather not. Red Light cameras, no. When my city did that, they shortened the yellow light time on city streets. No privatized cameras with payment based on number of tickets issued, and identify the driver, not just the vehicle.
The road ahead is going to be a whole lot safer.
Thanks, @SecondGentleman for joining me in announcing this game-changing strategy to protect Americans from deadly crashes.
@hpcnotes@Supercomputing Well since I live in Springfield MO, my issue with St. Louis is having to drive there or go Greyhound as it would cost too much to get air travel approved so no miles or segments :-) Virus no worse than here.
Understandably, there is widespread concern in the #HPC community about physically attending #SC21.
Q: would that concern be the same/less/more if @Supercomputing were being hosted in a different (US) city this year?
(i.e., is the concern St Louis or US travel in general?)
