Chuck Norris held a 183-10-2 record and was a 6x world champion in full contact bare knuckle karate. On top of that, he beat heavyweight kickboxing world champion Joe Lewis 3 consecutive times and also had a brutal sparring match with undefeated kickboxing world champion, Bill Superfoot Wallace, that lasted an hour and a half. According to Wallace, they practically stalemated and "beat the crap out of each other". Chuck was trained in kickboxing/boxing by Benny The Jet Urquidez and was also trained in BJJ by the Gracies and Machados for 20 years. Even being able to submit Carlos Machado himself on occasion. Chuck had a 315 Ibs bench press at 180 lbs bodyweight and was said to have a grip back in the day that nobody could escape from because he was so strong. Even Jean Claude Van Damme said he'd never fight Chuck Norris, despite being a kickboxing world champion himself. Chuck held a 10th degree black belt in Chun Kuk Do, a 9th degree black belt in Tang Soo Do, an 8th degree black belt in Taekwondo, a 5th degree black belt in Karate, a 3rd degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and a black belt in Judo. Rest in peace, Chuck!

This is how I’d shape my Manchester City squad heading into 2026/27. Balancing what we need now with what this team is becoming. First off, I’m bringing in Elliot Anderson and putting him straight into the team alongside Nico O’Reilly. That midfield has energy, legs, and a bit of personality about it. Nico Gonzalez then becomes a really strong rotation option. Someone who can come in without the level dropping, but not someone I’m building around every week. At right back, I’m starting Matheus Nunes there. That said, I’d have brought in Givairo Read and be developing him properly, with a clear plan for him to take over that position in the long term. On the other side, Rayan Ait-Nouri is my left back. For me, he’s the best option in that role. He is comfortable going forward, sharp in possession, and fits exactly what we need. He also gives you flexibility, because he can rotate with Nico O’Reilly if needed, which opens up different midfield options depending on the game. Centre back pairing pretty much picks itself. Marc Guehi is a given. He is reliable, composed, and a leader. Alongside him, Abdukodir Khusanov has earned his place. He’s not just there for now, he’s the future of this club defensively. In goal, I’m going with James Trafford. If we’re committing to playing out from the back and using a sweeper keeper, then fully commit to it. Don’t force a traditional shot stopper into something he’s not. Trafford is ready in my opinion... and people forget Ederson came in at the same age Trafford is now. Out wide, it has to be Jeremy Doku and Antoine Semenyo. That’s pace, directness, and constant threat. For me, that’s non negotiable. If I’m making big calls, I’d probably move Savinho on and look to bring in someone like Michael Olise instead. This adds another layer of quality and creativity out wide. Then centrally, it’s all about Rayan Cherki and Erling Haaland. That’s the future. Cherki brings the creativity and unpredictability, Haaland does what he does. Those two need to be the core of everything we build going forward. With Bernardo Silva likely leaving in the summer, I haven’t included him here. In terms of captaincy, you’re probably looking at Haaland or Guehi stepping into that role based on this team. But if it was me, I’d look at whether Nico O’Reilly, the academy boy, could grow into that responsibility. Sometimes that connection to the club means more than anything. Thoughts? #Willo4CityManager?

@AnthonySudworth @SSBradMCFC_ And there lies the problem pal . To many new fans are expecting that to happen again. It was an anomaly, a one off, an exception to the rule . For it to happen again is very very unlikely . We were blessed

@Record_Peddler @ManCity Trent was getting hammered by Doku so much so they put another two marking him. That was the time to change it and bite the bullet and bring Nico and Cherki on to utilise the spaces...just my opinion

The day after. We all accept the team is in transition and inconsistent right now. We also know that freak results happen at times. Last night was one of those.... It's no good crying over spilt milk. We accept the slim chance we have, and move on. City till we die eh? @ManCity

@RealTolmie Can’t say I agree on one of the most one sided defeats . But some valid points . I’m more upset by how Gonzales consistently gets overlooked when Rodri is on the pitch . We desperately needed him tonight . Next to Rodri as a number 8 . Far to open

One of the most one-sided defeats in the last decade. Left new players to drown in Guehi and Semenyo. Senior players overrun, formation and tactics written on a fag packet. One dimensional and, most worrying of all, Pep couldn't see it. Doku, Donna and Cherki totally blameless.

Lovely photo from Saturday as @PhilFoden reunites with his #ManCity U14 coach (& former player) Nigel Gleghorn who was working for local radio. Kieran Trippier often references Steve Eyre in progress stories - great to see stars of the game not forgetting who helped shape them.

Khusanov really is an incredible talent. He played the left side of the pairing last night and still oozed class. That's right back and the two CB positions he is pretty much faultless across. One of Txiki's last acts was to leave us 'potentially' a world class player.
