@NoCyclopathTO If cyclists pay $5, the ave driver would owe $1.5k–$2k. Cars cause hundreds to thousands of times more damage to roads. The fourth power law. This doesn’t even account for emissions and other societal impact. Some countries even pay cyclists per km. Might need new pic!?

@Bikery1966 Be an asshole to cyclists for doing the indignant cyclist things instead of being an asshole to drivers for using the roadways that were specifically made for them. Nice try with the casual ignorance tho. Thanks!

London Stansted Airport drop-off price rises from £7 to £10; £28 for 15-30 minutes. Greedy owners portray it as an environment friendly move. Public transport isn't always possible. It is about higher profits. No regulator will side with customers. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

Something has to be done about bus driver tiredness due to sleep loss, thanks to congestion caused by cycle lanes and LTNs. We know scheme implementers have no conscience nor awareness of urban context. Who do we ask to act? #SaveLives @SebDance @LabourMarina @Heidi_Labour @SocEnvJustice @LondonAssembly

Terrible news: a 43-year-old cyclist critically injured in collision with a 366 bus last week has died of his injuries. He is the fourth person known to have died cycling in London in 2026. His death was announced @TfL board meeting at the same time as two other bus fatalities.

UB1UB2 West London (Southall)
Transport for London has just announced a trial for advanced, high-tech “stealth” speed cameras across the capital, and several West London boroughs are officially on the list. Unlike the old yellow boxes, these new cameras do NOT flash and do not require white lines painted on the road. Using advanced 4D imaging radar, a single camera can monitor speed, distance, elevation, and direction across five lanes of bi-directional traffic all at once. The trial is specifically targeting 20mph and 30mph zones across nine London boroughs: 📍 Ealing 📍 Brent 📍 Hammersmith & Fulham 📍 Haringey 📍 Tower Hamlets 📍 Havering 📍 Croydon 📍 Hackney 📍 Sutton TfL states this upgrade is “vital” for consistent enforcement and reducing road casualties. However, the Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM) pointed out that since average speeds in London are already below 20mph, the focus should instead be on catching drivers illegally using their mobile phones at the wheel #UB1UB2 #London #Ealing

@bahram0666 @UB1UB2 But you were saying drivers had more rights because they pay a made up tax? I agree the roads are in an awfully terrible state and it would be nice to see a comprehensive and urgent solution to reinstate them to grade A standard

@CircleLineBT They close the Custom House Quay for a St Patrick’s Festival fun fare. Dublin didn’t grind to a halt. Didn’t see anything about it on socials?!?

For one week during the Fleadh, Belfast will pedestrianise the streets around City Hall. That gives us something rare - a chance to see what the city could feel like if space was designed for people, not traffic. These images show that potential 👇 If it works in August, it can work year-round.

@but_cyclists It’s a clear sign the local council doesn’t value active transport or care about the lives of those cycling!! It needs repainting!

You see this symbol painted on the road in a one way street but it's pointing against the ordinary flow of traffic. What does it mean?

@bahram0666 @UB1UB2 I am fully appraised of the bridges status! Cyclists and pedestrians are merrily crossing the Thames at Hammersmith and have been for some time! The bridge can’t cope with modern demands and wasn’t built for such volumes… Dangerous to make assumptions about voting intentions !

You are five times more likely to survive being hit by a driver doing 20mph vs a driver doing 30mph. Great to see Enfield rolling out new life saving 20mph zones. Slow down. Slower speeds save lives. #VisionZeroLDN. 👏👏@EnfieldCouncil @JourneysPlaces
