@rob_chiro Lying supine with chin retraction and v low headpiece gave same result. Gonna try him on Cx McKenzie before ? MR referral. May be interesting to see if your pt recovers Sx quicker after doing Cx McKenzie

@rob_chiro I would suspect a Cx disc. Any scapular referral? Literally had a similar non-specific and non-reproducible ‘brachialgia’ pt who I had a bit of a breakthrough with today. Nothing really reproduced symptoms but on end range Cx retraction his deltoid and triceps went weak.

Help please 30 Y/O active male. 2/12 Burning and aching from posterior tricep to whole left hand only when rolling/grappling in Jujutsu. Builds up through the session until unable to continue. No paresthesia, temp/colour changes, swelling, was noted in UL. M/H unremarkable.

@rob_chiro Be a chameleon. Every patient is different and will need a different approach to case history, assessment, treatment and advice. True patient centred care means checking your biases and delivering what they really want. Not everyone wants to rehab…

@rob_chiro Have not seen aspiration done for acute meniscal tear and can’t see any reason to. Risk v benefit. Any aspiration carries a small infection risk and I can’t think of any significant benefit for recovery.

Knee peeps. For acute knee injuries (meniscus in this case). What would determine if you would aspirate or not? Level of swelling, functional impact due to lack of ROM? MRI report recommended it, not typically something I would have considered. Possibly incorrectly

16-year-old female netball player. x2 episodes in 12 months of insidious onset lateral/ant knee pain, + swelling. Knee feels locked and unable to extend. lasts 2 days, then disappears. No residual pain after. Exam, nothing on inspection, ROM pain-free Lateral joint line ttp

The reason I don’t slam manual therapy, TENS, Ultrasound or acupuncture about the research being poor quality is because the research supporting what I do (exercise, load/symptom modification, “pain education) is poor quality too. Strong opinions can’t be held in this space

Why is it that folk remember vividly when they are told they have a bulging disc, a damaged disc, facet arthritis etc but when they been assured their spine is safe it hardly ever sticks 🤔 So much repeat conversations...
