In many jobs or roles, taste, judgement and the ability to come up with good rubrics to evaluate a solution would increasingly become more important than coming up with the solution itself.

@MParakhin @emollick For a question I had around the use of json_query, Bing had spit out the inner monologue. Here it is:

Be suspicious of head-to-head comparisons of responses from LLMs, especially when they concern the models’ “psychology” or “thinking.” The LLM does not have an inner dialogue, it is faking one for you. The results are very sensitive to how you prompt them & don’t tell you much.

People everywhere are pining 4 the return of the 'Noah's Ark' of the Monaro Highway. Even Sam Welsh, manager of the Fyshwick scrap yard where the infamous blue boat now sits 'can't bring himself to cut it up'. Surely someone can save it?! More: see my @canberratimes col 2day

@emollick Even if a expert wants to reply to this thread with info, unless they have the blue check, their reply would be sorted down. I have stopped reading replies under a tweet due to this sorting as junk from blue check handles gets priority views. Killed the joy of using Twitter.

The lack of verified identity on Twitter makes following the evolving superconductor story challenging. I want to hear from experts, so now I have to click the bios of people with plausible-sounding takes & try to parse whether this anime icon is a real physicist (sometimes, yes)

@alexkyllo @adamhjk What do you think about F# 's suitability as the language for data science and machine learning? Would type safety become more of a hindrance for this use case?

I have really come around to seeing the virtues of JavaScript (and TypeScript!). But seriously - I cannot believe that we had a shot at making Ruby the language of infrastructure, and y'all went back to YAML, Python, and shenanigans.

@satnam6502 @jonmsterling I tried your chicken tikka masala recipe. It did not have the usual tikka masala taste for me but was nonetheless very good with the mint. Adding it to my list. Thanks for sharing.

I taught my son to make my mother's chicken curry last night. He did a great job. It is fantastic to continue family traditions, with twists and turns at each generation. Next: teach him about recursion.

@BNeelon @DavidRamsdenWoo Don't worry about calorie counting. Eliminate carbs. And eat protein. Lots of it. Losing weight is actually very easy and you don't even have to go hungry. Eggs meat fish cheese yoghurt. You can add potatoes as a side. Another thing to keep in mind is to only eat when hungry

@DavidRamsdenWoo You're eating under 1000 calories per day while working out?! Oof. For how long? I cut down to <2000 per day and by the end of the day I'm still quite hungry. But I'm also trying to get at least 150g of protein so at some point that puts me at 600+ calories just there.

Weight loss is hard. It’s true. But …. It only takes dedication to stick by the two universal rules. 1. Eat less. 2. Exercise more. Day 12. -10 lbs. Cheat day yesterday with yoga and a pedicure (don’t judge). Workouts 14. Squash. 6. Calories per day still < 1000. Join me!

@greglow You get a tabbed interface to display multiple repositories. Free. I have been using it since long. Maybe others are better but it does the job for me.

@JohannesVink I found dp-900 quite easy even when I have not used Azure data much. I did go through the Microsoft Learn documentation (or whatever is it called) for the exam If u have been working with Azure Data & broadly know their offerings & the associated use cases, should be easy for u

Question on AZ-900 Azure Fundamentals and DP-900 Auzre Data Fundamentals. How difficult is that, how much time did you spent on that? Is following an Virtual training day useful? Background; using Azure data for 5 years now, but never got to the certification yet...

The misconception that there is no sound in space originates because most space is a ~vacuum, providing no way for sound waves to travel. A galaxy cluster has so much gas that we've picked up actual sound. Here it's amplified, and mixed with other data, to hear a black hole!
