Can someone explain how there could possibly be a save situation in this game?

@BeuckelaereJohn @BlackCoffeeSobr @iTalkStudiosYT Might be different where you play. I linked the MLB site, and gave you a screenshot. The difference is if you come in with 3 run lead and no one on base, you need to pitch a whole inning to get the save. Otherwise, if there is at least one runner on, one out is enough.

@BlackCoffeeSobr @iTalkStudiosYT This is false. Yes they do. I’m literally a closer and have gotten like 3 1 out saves before. If someone enters the game winning 3 or less, if they finish the game and still win… it’s a save. Even only facing 1 batter.

@CasuallyGreg Why do they keep repeating this nonsensical talking point when they know the real risk is infection vs vaccine+infection. Do doctors just simply not understand basic logic?

The vaccine does not stop you from getting Covid. So you’re voluntarily adding the risk of myocarditis on top of still catching the virus. A virus that you just admitted can cause myocarditis. That’s not protection, that’s just piling on additional risk.

@OleTimeHardball All very well are unbreakable but I always say it is Joe Nuxhall 2 no hitters. In order to break it one would need to throw 3 no hitters.

@justjimsopinion @nicksortor Never once called for violence against those with opposing political beliefs. And you ever see a conservative going after waste of skinhead liberals? Name one. Ever known a conservative mass shooter? So your argument is specious at best.

@SeanTrende @MasonJettericks @JillFilipovic New York City has an 3.8% income tax, and 4.5% sales tax. I think the city can come out ahead if the person lives here, especially if you count the economic activity they generate as well.

@MasonJettericks @JillFilipovic But the point is, the two arguments are at loggerheads. You can have the tax revenue, or you can shift ownership to more people who live in the City, but those goals are in tension with each other.

What exactly is the argument against a pied-a-terre tax for second (or third / fourth / fifth) homes worth more than $5 million owned by people who do not even live in the city? It just seems like such a glaringly obvious common-sense policy.

Years ago my wife and I were on an early date in a Chinese restaurant when another diner came over and said to me: "Can you shut up? You've got a very loud voice". I said: "My girlfriend has very poor hearing. Isn't that right?" And to her enormous credit she replied: "WHAT?"

Thoughts on the birthright citizenship case. 1. The court is going to reject the president’s executive authority here & say his interpretation of the 14th amendment is incorrect. 2. In so doing they are going to cite the historical record & say birthright citizenship is the law.

There is a massive shortage in physicians in the United States. Look at the wait times, the office visit appointment times and how poorly Americans are doing health-wise despite claiming that we have the best healthcare system in the world (we don’t). The better question is: Why aren’t more students in the US seeing a career in medicine and wanting to become a doctor? Here’s my 2 cents: First off how many are smart enough to get into medical school? Not many. Out of them that qualify, how many of them wants to go to school for 14 years AFTER high school. Even fewer. You essentially have to give up all your 20s and most of 30s before you can ‘start’ your career. Meanwhile all of your friends that didn’t choose medicine are 6-10 years into their career and already established. Retirement accounts have a nice lump sum growing, family started, first home purchased and minimal/paid off school debt. On the other hand, medical students will be in $300-500k in debt that they haven’t even begun to pay it down in their mid-30s. Enjoy paying $2-4k a month for then next 10-15 years ‘just’ for education. That’s not for your mortgage, your car, insurance, etc Finally when you graduate from residency and/or fellowship, you get the privilege to be told to see 25-50 patients a day. 5-15 minutes per patient. Enough today hi and then quickly diagnose their issue likely missing plenty of things because the clock is ticking. Don’t forget about the 5-10 minutes per patient that you have to spend on notes. Once you finish your plan and recommendations for the patient, you get to ‘fight’ with the patient’s insurance company to cover said recommendations. Fun. The good news? You get to do it all over again tomorrow! You do this for 50-70 hours a week, barely seeing your family, having the time for exercise and enjoying the fruits of your labor. By the age of 45, still tens of thousands in debt, exhausted and barely being able to stay up to date on all the advancements in medicine you’re burned out. The medical education system is broken and I don’t know if there’s an easy fix. Maybe it’s AI. Hope you enjoy talking to an emotionless computer or robot. In the meantime, appreciate the doctors while they’re still here and willing to help. Before long there won’t be many of us left.

@EpsteinFilesHQ @LordOfTheYips @DrJesseMorse Hey. We agree. Many IMGs are the top talents in their country and we’re lucky to have them. I agree we need more doctors, and I’d support creating more residency slots for more US med students and IMGs. (Politically tough right now).

We need more doctors. Point blank period. Thats the solution. It doesn't matter if it's more US educated med students or international. We need more physicians. If you think we should increase the number of US med seats for US citizens, it's an answer. But that won't matter if we don't have an increase in the number of residency programs to actually train them and make them doctors. Stop trying to bring immigration into everything when it's not an immigration problem it's a systemic problem created by our own choice. Those immigrant educated doctors are very capable and smart sometimes even more capable then our own US educated Med graduates. Why would we turn away good talent and rob our country of health care? We need more education of doctors in this country but that would take time and development of more medical school programs. The argument isn't "we need more US citizen physicians". The argument is WE JUST NEED MORE PHYSICIANS. Stop being a racist schmuck

@EpsteinFilesHQ @LordOfTheYips @DrJesseMorse Your AI tells you there are more slots than US MD/DO graduates, AND you can even add US citizen IMGs. The “bottleneck” is created by growth in non citizen IMGs. What’s your solution?

Bro is using the "I know people who did it so it must be the other people's faults and their inability/lack of willingness. Just work harder and pull yourselves up by your bootstraps" argument. You are so out of touch. THERE IS A CLEAR GAP IN THE NUMBER OF MEDICAL STUDENT GRADUATES AND THE NUMBER OF OPEN RESIDENCY SPOTS IS MY POINT. If you can't see that I don't know how much more plainly I can put it. THOSE STUDENTS WANT TO BE DOCTORS MORE THAN THEY CARE ABOUT WHAT FIELD THEY PRACTICE IN. THEY WANT TO BE DOCTORS. And maybe just maybe use your brain for a second and think why those people are so heavily choosing specialty over internal med. Maybe its because they are drowned in debt, lost years of their earnings to go to med school while taking on that debt, and now need to pay it back and catch up in life so they need MONEY. Maybe its because we incentivize those specialties more simply because they are more profitable for the hospital and insurance compared to providing robust preventative care. Why would they reject an opportunity to practice medicine which they spent 8-10 YEARS OF THEIR LIFE FORGOING TO BE ABLE TO DO OVER AN EGO TRIP. THE FACT THAT THERE IS EVEN A GAP BETWEEN THE NUMBER OF RESIDENCY SPOTS AVALIABLE AND THE NUMBER OF MED GRADUATES IS ASININE. You are simply one of those larpers who peddles the "pull yourselves up by your bootstraps, land of opportunity and freedom, earn it, work harder, etc" in order to excuse a system that is clearly broken and unable to fulfil the demands of the market while allowing hospitals and insurance companies to PROFIT MASSIVELY over the death and despair of people purely because of the right given to them by CAPITALISM and "market economics". You think its ok that people are denied coverage and medical care because its "cosmetic" or not critical in order for the health insurance company to keep more profits for their shareholder at the expense of the lives of Americans. You think that its ok that family medicine and internal med doctors are paid astronomically less for their work over a plastic surgeon or other specialties when their work is just as important if not more important than those specialties because if we actually had a functioning and robust family medicine pipeline in this country we would be able to prevent MILLIONS of dollars in future critical/intensive care which comes from a LACK OF robust preventative care. They have designed the system to prioritize and incentives more expensive and more invasive treatment plans rather than investing in preventative care PURELY FOR PROFIT REASONS. And it starts with the pay gap, the incentives for specializing, and the failure of the med school -> residency pipeline which creates the system we have today and the problems we face in medical care in this country. NO OTHER COUNTRY ON THE PLANET HAS THE PROBLEMS WE HAVE WITH OUR HEALTHCARE. WE COULD HAVE A ROBUST PREVENTATIVE CARE SYSTEM AND THE BEST INTENSIVE/CRITICAL CARE SYSTEM ON THE PLANET IF WE WANTED TO BUT WE CHOOSE NOT TO BECAUSE IT IS NOT PROFITABLE. WE CATER TO THE NEEDS OF THE RICH AND TRANSNATIONAL OVER THE NEEDS OF THE AVERAGE AMERICAN BECAUSE IT IS NOT PROFITABLE. WE ARE THE WEALTHIEST COUNTRY IN HISTORY SO DON'T YOU DARE TRY TO TELL ME WE CAN'T HAVE ROBUST PREVENTATIVE CARE AND THE BEST SPECIALIZED DOCTORS. ITS A CHOICE WE MADE. PROFIT > PEOPLE.

45% of the UC Berkeley applicants from Mission High School, a school with 42% reading proficiency, get admitted because the UC isn't an institute of higher learning any longer, but instead is now another form of welfare.
