@siddaramaiah avare please reduce the Vat in Karnataka as done in Maharashtra. We need to build the Bengaluru airport as a Transit terminal too. With this reduction by M, fares in Bengaluru could be higher. We need to Make it cost effective to fly out of Bengaluru. @CMofKarnataka Giving Doles alone is not going to grow our economy or create jobs!

Due to the West Asia crisis, the Indian aviation industry is facing certain issues like air space closures, uncertain operations, spike in ATF prices. During these times, under the leadership of Hon'ble PM Shri @narendramodi ji, the government of India has given multiple respites to airlines in the form of Capping of ATF prices for domestic scheduled operators, reduction in Airport Charges, Emergency Credit Linkage scheme etc. One of the important expenditures in aviation industry is the VAT on ATF that is levied by state governments. Ministry of Civil Aviation has been engaging with State governments to reduce this VAT since some time, and specifically during the crisis times. I am thankful to State Govt of Maharashtra and @Dev_Fadnavis ji, for rising to the occasion and notifying the reduction in VAT for ATF from 18% to 7% with effect from today. Maharashtra State is having 16 operational airports and highest annual air traffic amongst the states, of around 75 million passengers, daily passengers of around 2 lakhs. This reduction in VAT will help the flight operations in all these airports, and benefit the large number of passengers, by keeping the airfares in check while the global challenges continue to push airfares upwards. I once again thank @Dev_Fadnavis ji for this timely intervention to benefit large number of Air Travellers to and from the State of Maharashtra. @Pib_MoCA

All the sleeper coaches with No AC in Indian Railways should be replaced with AC coaches. It doesn't make sense to have train without AC in 21st century. We can not afford to be poor. Everyone deserves quality of life.

Horrific from Pratapgarh, Uttar Pradesh. An intermediate student was kidnapped, gang-raped, murdered — and her body hung from a tree using a temple flag. This is not just a crime. This is barbarity. Justice must be swift, strict, and unquestionable.

Our @CMofKarnataka should read this and ask a simple question. Has Karnataka become the foremost destination for investment and jobs in India during his rule? We have a great tech industry and legacy but in the last 3 years have we moved ahead? The huge spending on ‘guarantees’ has crippled our finances, reduced infra spending. 60%+ vacancy in govt faculty in the Age of AI, Bengaluru suffering badly from bad infra, a city filled with thrash and garbage in many area. @siddaramaiah please change course and focus on development and jobs not caste and appeasement. We need good jobs for our youth not more corruption. You were a great CM last time please please focus on growth.

I humbly accept the Business Reformer of the Year award presented by The Economic Times. It was an honour and privilege to receive it from Hon’ble Union Finance Minister, Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman Ji. Andhra Pradesh is now India’s foremost destination for investment and innovation. This has been possible because the people of my state placed their trust in us, and because of the dedicated efforts of our Cabinet Ministers, officers, and policy experts. I am especially grateful to the industry leaders and investors who recognised Andhra Pradesh’s potential and chose to partner with us. This award belongs to the people of Andhra Pradesh and to everyone who contributed to this success. I thank the jury for this honour and congratulate all the winners this evening. @nsitharaman @EconomicTimes

"Karnataka is one of India’s strongest economic contributors, yet we haven't received any major new National Highway projects in the past 12 years. This is about infrastructure justice. A State that contributes so much to the national economy cannot be kept waiting indefinitely for major highway expansion and connectivity support. That is why I raised this demand in my 18-point memorandum to the Union Government on behalf of Karnataka. If Karnataka’s contribution to India’s growth is unquestioned, why is the State still waiting for major new National Highway approvals?" - Chief Minister Shri @siddaramaiah #NationalHighways #Infrastructure #Karnataka #AnswerMadiModi

Lack of Crowd Control at KSRTC Bus Stand Leads to Horrific Student Injury in Tumkur An unfortunate incident occurred at the Tumkur Bus Stand, where a 17-year-old student named Harshita sustained a serious injury while attempting to board a bus. Harshita, who is pursuing her paramedical studies at Siddaramaiah Hospital in Tumkur, was caught in a chaotic situation caused by a sudden surge in the number of passengers. According to reports, the bus was scheduled to travel from Tumkur to Madhugiri. As passengers rushed to board, a stampede-like situation developed due to overcrowding and lack of proper crowd management. In the confusion, Harshita lost her balance and fell near the bus. Tragically, one of the bus tires ran over her leg, resulting in a severe fracture. Emergency services were immediately alerted, and she was promptly transported by Sadu Ambulance to the district hospital in Tumkur. She is currently undergoing treatment for her injuries. Medical staff have confirmed that her leg was broken in the accident, and she is receiving the necessary care. This incident highlights the urgent need for better safety measures, crowd control, and management at busy bus stands to prevent such accidents in the future. #bangalore #bengaluru #tumkur @RLR_BTM @KSRTC_Journeys @SPTumkur @BlrCityPolice @CPBlr @Jointcptraffic @alokkumar6994 @DgpKarnataka @KarnatakaCops @Lolita_TNIE @ChristinMP_
