@Obsolesence My most teethgrinding moment was Patrick Harvie - during a Bill debate (Hate crime mebbes) - saying that 'this will be inevitably be sorted out in court'. ie -I'm not going to do my job to make sure legislation is competent.

I'm sensing a theme here. Greens in England & Scotland are oblivious to legal requirements placed on electoral candidates. Not sure if this is just naivete or not, but certainly doesn't bode well for their attention to detail when scrutinising complicated legislation in future

@LucyHunterB @EasyPeasy_3 Gibson was Finance & Public Admin. Richard Leonard was Public Audit. Both cttees did a good a job. Pretty much the only ones that did - most of the subject committees showed the intellectual curiosity of a tadpole and about as much capacity to hold to account as a burst balloon.

@EasyPeasy_3 At Holy rood the Education Committee looks at any education bills on top of its other work. At Westminster every bill gets its own dedicated committee which considers only that bill. Holyrood bills end up in competition with other things for attention.
