It isn’t billionaires. It’s the principle that individuals have a right to produce, trade, and keep what they earn.
Billionaires are just the most visible target. Start there, and you normalize the idea that success is a liability. Once that principle is accepted, it doesn’t stay confined. It moves downward.
And there’s a practical side you’re ignoring. In a free system, you choose who you deal with. You can walk away. When power shifts to bureaucrats, that choice disappears. You deal with them whether you want to or not.
So no, it isn’t about defending the rich. It’s about rejecting a system where your rights depend on who has political power.

I will never understand why working class people fight tooth and nail to defend billionaires

Let's talk about what @BernieSanders intentionally left out. These companies paid billions in payroll taxes, state taxes, property taxes, and excise taxes. Federal income tax is one tax, not the total tax bill. You know this. But because you are a corrupt looter, you pretend as if they pay no taxes at all so you can generate outrage, so you can loot even more.
You have been in Congress for 35 years. Every single tax provision that allowed these companies to pay zero federal income tax was written, passed, and signed into law by the institution you have been a part of since 1991.
You also left out that 40% of American households paid zero federal income tax in 2025. By your logic, they are not paying their "fair share" either. But you will never say that because your entire political career depends on pretending that only corporations benefit from the tax code you helped write, even though in reality no one benefits from them.
These companies employ hundreds of thousands of Americans whose wages generate billions in individual income taxes. They produce the products and services your supporters use every single day. The car your followers want to drive was built by one of these companies. The flights they take are operated by another. The electricity powering their homes comes from another.
You do not want tax reform. You want a shakedown. And you have been running it for 35 years.
Bernie Sanders@BernieSanders
If you paid $1 in federal income taxes this year, you paid more than: Walt Disney Citigroup CVS Kohl's Ticketmaster Tesla United Airlines GoDaddy Paypal Palantir Roku HP 3M PG&E Halliburton That’s absurd. We need real and progressive tax reform.

@thomasrp93 I'm surprised that more of Eagles Twitter isn't afraid of Tyson's injuries

There are 3 players i think Eagles will be seriously in play to trade up for:
WR Jordan Tyson:
Exceptional route runner and awesome at catch point. Sneaky Smitty comp but with plus size. I think 18-20 range and they'll try to get him.
OT Monroe Freeling:
Phenomenal athlete with size. Explosive, quick feet, good leverage. Ideal for him to learn behind Lane and then start. Super gifted. I think 16-20 range is trade up spots.
OG Vega Ioane:
Can play all 3 IOL spots. Could be one of the best interior OL in a few years. From a value perspective, i think they'll wait until pick 20, but if he's there, i think Howie gets aggressive.

He doesn't want to lift up the poor, he wants to punish the rich.
He is a resentful hypocrite who owns a mansion in Uganda and held his wedding in three countries, including in Dubai.
He is no different from Nicolas Maduro except he doesn't have as much power yet.

Happy Tax Day, New York. We’re taxing the rich.

@Katie_likes_it I really need to find a woman that wants me to wear kinky stuff around the house and then do things to me. I don't think that's asking for too much

When even the death of your own child doesn't snap you back into reality and you are instead actually celebrating the very thing that caused it, you are well and truly bainwashed.
