135 people died from toxic drugs in B.C. last month alone. The majority of deaths are happening INSIDE supportive housing, shelters, and SROs, the very places the NDP claimed would make people safer. After years of failed experiments, reversals, and excuses, families are still burying loved ones while this government refuses to admit its approach is failing. British Columbians were promised solutions. Instead, the crisis keeps getting worse.

Fishing is in the DNA of coastal British Columbia. Since 1974, Walcan (on Quadra Island) has partnered with fishermen to process and produce great Canadian seafood products that are consumed both here in Canada and around the world. Political decision-making out of Ottawa threatens the livelihoods of not only individual fishermen, but also of processors like Walcan and their dozens of employees. Delayed openings (like we saw last year for sockeye) and government proposals to close up to 40% of BC's coast to fishing have the potential to devastate an entire industry.
